Need more city names

I am trying to expand my city.txt for each of the empires; if you have additional city names for the empires, please email them to me at nishdog@hotmail.com or just attach a city list to a message reply on this board. I am trying to get at least 80 city names for each empire.

The empires I'm most interested in expanding are the following:
Indians
English
Germans
Japanese
Chinese
French

But don't let that stop you from sending city names for other empires as well.

I bought an atlas today to help me with this, but i'm realizing that an atlas will give me city names but won't help me determine which cities were/are important to these empires. I'm hoping people native to or familiar with the above areas can help me out in that regard.

I did look at the map of India and came up with a list of about 130 cities (see attached); I started expanding by entering cities from the Punjab region (where I was born) and then just basically went down the map, taking the large cities (500K+ populations) first, then going back and going down the map for smaller cities. It eventually got pretty random-I've never even heard of most of these cities.

The reason I'm doing this is to avoid having to use the "extra cities" and having the computer reuse my old city names.

Well for England you can just enter aload of cities from your atlas but you should include Lincoln because it was once an important city and you should definately include Grantham

If aload of people send names in then you could turn this into an offical update for people to download although I guess alot of people just make up the names...I will make a list of English cities and send it to you sometime.

attached is a list of 170+ American cities
I started by adding any state capitals that weren't already on the list. Then i went back through my atlas and found large cities. Then I ended with four small but notable places...feel free to add on your own cities to this list.

If you check at Apolyton, darkangel is leading a file with 100 city names and 10 leader names for each Civ.

I contributed the Zulu list and am doing the Iroquios list as well.

You can find the file at Apolyton, under Files-Creation.

It's for all civs, so far as I know.

Personally, I'm doing the Babylonians, Zulus and Iroquois.

About an hour ago, I browsed Apolyton - it wouldn't have been any faster had it been on my pc! After 2 weeks of major server problems, maybe they have fixed it... ? Probably just luck, tho.

No it was actually down at that time, It said that it would be back on tomorrow (Jan. 2) but by my calculations it was Jan 2 then....
