i've been trying to play this game udner roosevelt for so long..and i suck...i always get dan quayle...please...any tips would be apreciated...how should i play with Roosevelt...

I don't think it's because you play Roosevelt you get Dan Quayle. :p

If you want to get higher ranks just win on higher difficulties. (It's merely a flavor thing anyway, doesn't mean you played good/bad etc)

About playing Roosevelt, he is industrious and organized so a quick big expansion (cheap courthouses - and less civic upkeep) is nice. Cottage a lot everywhere when you have the chance since money is power right? :)

The other trait Industrious is nice for wonders, so try to snatch some of the important wonders early on. Pyramids, Great Library, Oracle are all very nice wonders early on. Getting Oracle after having researched writing means you can pick Code of Laws for those cheap courthouses and pay for your expansion. (either through war or peaceful means, doesn't matter ;) )

It's no "correct" answer to your question so stick around and read some guides and other posts, maybe they can help you as well. :)

(If you are playing vanilla, he is the money grubber god so just concentrate on lots of cities lots $$$ instead :p )

Tipsy,

I've got to agree with Sjaramei in that if you're regularly losing games, it's not which leader you pick that's the problem.

Spending 20 minutes reading Sisiutil's Guide may save 20 hours of frustrated game time.

Victories play a big part in your score, I got some pretty crappy rating in Space Race because my territory is smaller, domination and conquest gave me a lot more points, 30k easy on Noble. Maybe you're playing settler or something and just get bad scores when all the points are tallied up. If your trouble was actually winning then Wonder whore or you're not taking advantage of your traits. Expand faster then you would with other leaders, don't be afraid to war if your opponent is weak. Wonders to shoot for are the Oracle, Pyramids, (if you can't get both I say Pyramids plus building both hurt city expansion.), Great Library is useful which can be super built by the great engineer your getting at this time, then a bunch of essentially useless wonders come along for very special circumstances, Taj Mahal is another good one as you don't have to sacrifice two great people for it. The final one to get is the Pentagon since it allows a second upgrade in every city with a barracks. Space Elevator if you're playing space race is a no brainer.
