Need WW2 Help for scenario!

He postponed the development of the Me-262 by at least 6 months, maybe more because he wanted the bomber version first.

The Anti-tank (as it is called by the CivIII developers) in PTW is a guy holding a bazooka. I'll make it a bombard unit like you said.

Here are the revised tank stats:

Churchill: Move 1, Att 10, Def 5
Pershing: Move 2, Att 12, Def 6
Panther: Move 2, Att 12, Def 6
T 34: Move 2, Att 11, Def 5
Tiger II: Move 1, Att 14, Def 8
Panzer IV: ???? stats please

I'll redo the fighters as well.

Thanks for the info, please keep it coming!

I would increase the movement of all tanks by 1, and make them wheeled or something. (if you haven't already) The average foot speed of infantry is about 3 to 4 mph (4.8 to 6.4 kph).

Personally I would increase the Panther to 13/6, and the Tiger II to at least 15/8.

Panzer IV would depend on which model you intend on using...I would assume you'd probably want about a 1942ish one, which would be the IVG or H. I'd probably say 11/5.

I would also add the KV-2 for the Soviets, with 14/7 stats, and 3 move.

I'll post later an additional tank for the British and Americans, so each nation has two.

As for the Anti-Tank, no one said that the Civ III developers were perfect with regard to historical accuracy. :) Take my word for it, they were used mostly on defense, shooting at tanks as they approached. Though later in the war, the Germans and Russians in particular had self-propelled anti-tank guns, which eventually were superior to tanks in firepower and defense. (Juggernaught and Su-152 come to mind respectively)

I'll speed up the tanks and change the stats like you said. Again, I don't really want to add any more tanks because I don't want to bother with including unit files in the scenario, it will just be a pain. But I won't be too inflexible on this. If there's a really nice looking unit that can be included, maybe I will. It might be saved for a later update though.

I will post some screenshots soon.

That's understandable there.

The T-34 though is an inaccurate representation of the Soviet's tank ability, since its most popular model came out somewhere around 1940, while the other tanks are later than that date for the other countries.

Edinburgh won't fit, and Birmingham would be a tight fit (at best).

I like it Yurt. Its hard to fit every city you want on a map, so good job.

By the way, Scapa Flow is on an island off the coast of Scotland.

I would add Birmingham and Edinburgh to Britain

Pap

Procifica is right, those won't fit. Edinburgh would be in the square beside Glasgow. Birmingham would fit but it would seriously impact the food supplies of the cities around it, especially when German bombers start destroying all the irrigation.

As for Scapa, you're right. It is definately an important strategic thing so I will move it.

Those hills south of Paris should be down a little more. I'd try to add Lyon (Lyons) if you can though.

Nantes should fit on the west coast between Brest and Bordeaux.

Bordeaux was German controlled, as it was on the Atlantic Coast.

I would put in Belgrade instead of Sarajevo.

Bucharest should be further southeast.

I don't know about changing Germany's colour. I tried changing colours once and it screwed up the game. Plus the colours in this game are based on the ones from the old civ2 WW2 scenario.

Spain, Portugal and Northwest Africa.

note: Canary Islands (Sp) and Cape Verde Islands (Po) aren't cities. They will be represented by an airbase guarded by an infantry.

I tried, but I couldn't make Gibraltar's border smaller.

CITY SIZES:

Madrid 25
Barcelona 20
Oviedo 9
Tangier 9
Murcia 8
Mallorca 6

Lisbon 20
Oporto 14

Gibraltar 1

Casablanca 19
Algiers 18
Tunis 15
Agadir 8
Gabes 5

??????

I would hope you looked up actual populations of these cities for 1940 or so. These don't look it.

Ditto for these.

Personally, just off the top of my head, I'd do it more like this:

Paris: 25
Marseille: 10
Vichy/Lyons: 8
Toulouse: 7
Corsica: 2
Bordeaux: 8
Orleans: 5
Nantes: 6
Metz: 5 (I'd come up with a better city for this one, maybe Rouen?)
Brest: 4
Bern: 6

Tangier 2
Murcia 5
Mallorca 2

Lisbon 13
Oporto 6

Casablanca 8

Agadir 4
Gabes 2

If you can squeeze it in, I'd add Caen between Brest and Paris, size 3 on my population scale. As a reference, Paris was at the time, the second largest metro area in Europe (just behind London), as even 25 might be too big to squeeze into that area without them starving.

I would try to find a website that has more accurate population figures, as I could be off on a few of those (especially the Spanish cities, you picked some obscure ones).

The only reference I have for the populations is a current atlas. I wouldn't expect to find a populations in 1941 list anywhere, but if there is one please let me know.

The city sizes you suggested seem kind of low. The reasoning behind mine was that since some major cities aren't represented, the city sizes should be more of a collective representation of the country's population. I will scale them down a bit though. Another factor to consider is the bombing, which will do away with citizens quite quickly.

I don't think Caen would fit, due to Paris' placement. If I did put it in it would be in a completely incorrect location.

For the Spanish cities I'll move Barcelona to the square NE of it, then I'll delete Murcia and add Valencia. Oviedo seems like the biggest city in the area; alternatives are A Coruna, Gijon, and Santander. I put in Mallorca to fill the island there.

Metz could be Nancy or Strasbourg. I was going to use Strasbourg, but it is pretty close to Stuttgart and would also crowd Bern. I could just have it placed a bit off. Rouen is NW of Paris, so it won't fit (unfortunately).

Here is a redone Great Britain. I enlarged it so as to add more cities. The space between Edinburgh and Manchester was left on purpose, so Manchester would have enough food to allow Birmingham to exist.
