To Gaul
From Carthage (through intermediaries)

Carthage is in no way in a "crusade" with Venice. Carthage acted of her own accord against Roma who had previously threatened Carthage with military action and in the defense of the state of Carthage we had no choice but to strike at Rome first.

Carthage is in no way at war with Geneva or Gaul unless Geneva or Gaul decides to bring Carthage into this destructive conflict by attacking her lands. However Carthage must inform Gaul that any attempts to expand the conflict between Geneva's aggressive war and Venice's defensive campaign will result in Carthaginian aid to the victim, no matter who the aggressor is.

Also, the map of the Treaty of Carthago Nova had a spilling of the respective ink. Rest assured the ones responsible have been promptly disciplined. A new map has been redone.

To Venice
From Carthage

The Map has been edited.

“Look at those Dutchmen run!”

“They are like pigs fleeing from a slaughter.”

Duke Richard demounted his horse, took his sword and stuck it into the ground. Off in the distance, the Dutch army was retreating, abandoning Rotterdam. Later that night, Richard and his army in triumph marched into the city. Richard slept in the local palace of King William of Orange that night. Meanwhile King William of Normandy was poring over a map with his generals south of the city.

“Continue the thrust. We must not lose momentum.”

“A conservative effort may be better, don’t overstretch.”

“If we take Amsterdam, the rest of Holland will fall.”

“Chip away at their base; they do not have the manpower or will power to fight on.”

The debating continued throughout the night, finally a plan was reached. A message was dispatched to Richard.

“Richard, enclosed is your orders, carry them out and report back. William of Orange will make a nice figure in our victory parade.”

The next morning, Richard rallied his army, and distributed new fresh soldiers from the homeland. The march began, the march to victory.

Gauls:
To Geneva:

We have reached a deal w Hannibal. We wont accept your proposal of allience. In return, they will stay completely out of the conflict and shall not aid Geneva in any way shape, or form.

To Geneva
From Carthage

We agree with the statements of Gaul except that they have reached an agreement with the Carthaginian Senate (not Hannibal) in that Carthage shall not aid Venice in any way or form and remain completely neutral.

Carthago Nova, still a small city, Only 6 years since it’s founding by General Hannibal Barca after the sack of Roma, it was beginning to blossom. Where there had only been soil and quiet rolling hills, a city had been built. With the walls raised high in defiance to any foreign enemies, with temples stirring in the spirituality of Baal and the lesser gods. It was… Carthaginian, at once was the Heartland of the Roman Republic. And the Romans? They were dispersed to the winds, gone throughout the Mediterranean Sea.

From Gibraltar, to Carthage, Greece, some sold even in far distant Crimea and Antioch they were a people no more. They would be taken in, the children bought by couples who couldn’t produce their own. The young women taken in, by men ostracized by society as a wife, for every 10 mistreated slave, there was at least 1 well treated slave. Such was the way of humanity, evil will always outnumber good because the brighter the light, the darker the shadow will become.

The corrupt Roman State was no more, their Consuls dying from their own blades, their armies all but disbanded. Their City had been sacked, every possession of value taken. Every man, woman, and child sold into slavery. Children separated from their mothers, husband and wife and onwards. Such was the crimes committed by Hannibal that Melqart would judge when Hannibal’s time came and he descended into the underworld for judgment.

But what are the lives of a few thousand, or even tens of thousands compared to the lives of the inhabitants of an Empire? The Roman Republic had been an arrogant one, quick to bluster and with words to threaten. She had laid claims upon lands that she had no right to claim. Her punishment in the eyes of Carthage was just, slain like a rabid dog. And what right does the Conquered have over the Conquerors?

Hannibal would return, in triumph and victory to Carthage. A march through the City would be done to show the glory of the war to the people and of his great success. Dozens of Roman Senators in white togas followed by War Elephants with carpets draping over them, series of Numidian Cavalry in their shining armor. But best of all, hundreds of cartloads of treasure, valuable treasure of all the varieties were there to be presented to the Senate.

Peace had come to the Republic. Long May Peace and Prosperity Prosper!

Emperor Granges Lucas stood over the cliff. The war was over.

He had been fighting in the war since the very begining and orchestrated the early attacks. He was in Venice when it was sacked.

But early in the war, prospects looked much better. The Venicians took most Romans by suprise. They didn't think the vastly outnumbered and seemingly weaker Venicians would attack first. But they did. This surprise attack served them good. Some Roman soilders slept in their beds, and were off duty. They were given a sword, and then slain. The push to Antium was also succesful. The city was relatively unguarded, as they had no idea the Venicians were invading by sea. The town was destroyed, all the riches plundered. The men made for Rome. This was there first upset. They were outnumbered over 2 to 1. They had to retreat, and so ended the surprise.

Next a battle commenced over a huge front. Venicians would inch forward, hold their gains, and retreat. Even though Romans had the numbers, the Venicians had the speed. The boats could transport men much faster than on foot. This sort of shuffling help false invasions. It also allowed Verium to fall, the last great Roman city before Rome. The war was mostly a stalemate for a few years after. Finally, the push to the other side of Italy succeded. But then something happened.

The filthy Genevans attacked. The city guard must've been outnumbered 1to 20. But they wern't going to let a seige happen. They would fight until they died. And they did. They took many Genevans with them, but the city fell. It was looted, but rumors said it still stood. One day it would be back in Venician hands.

The honorable Carthiginians helped the Venicians greatly. While the Romans fought the Venicians, and wasted their time, the Carthiginians invaded and sacked Rome. Destroying the corrupt government. It was the begining of a new era. Once Geneva is repulsed, Venice will rise. And become greater than Rome and Geneva.

Long live Venice! Long live Venice!

UPDATE SEVEN

As Rome is buried in the pages of history, The war between Geneva and Venice continued. However the war did not expand to include neither Carthage or Gaulicia. The Gauls threatened to enter the war after hearing of a treaty of Cartago Novo. In such a map seemed like the Gauls would be the next target of Carthage or Venice. Carthage blamed it on an accident of spilled ink. But war did not developed. Carthage and the Gauls solved their differences by accepting an agreement saying that both powers were to remain completely neutral regarding the war between Geneva and Venice.
And so, Venice would fight agasint Geneva in a simple duel. But such seemed strange or at least not a good option to the Venetians. Geneva was the economic powerhouse of Europe at this time, ranking the first in overall income and production. Such was the difference that Genevan economic output out-did the venetians in a ration of 3.5 to 1.
The Armies when it came to numbers were not too far from each other. 46 to 40 divisions. But in the new age of wars, leadership would be vital, and Genevan military leadership was also much higher. (Altough not the best in the continent). Venice w/out allies had just one ace up its sleve. That it was in home territory and in the defensive. But this was about to change.
The Genevan Army pillaged the city, but after an apparent rush of Venetian divisions to the city (which were in actuallity awfully smaller than the Genevan force) were not able to completely destroy the area as hannibal had done to Rome. Genevan Generals ordered the ancient water buffer to be destroyed, flooding the city.
The genevans would then go home. Venice was wipped out of the map, and most of the area flooded, a city could in theory be rebuilt there, but who wanted to build a city with rivers or water?! .
The 5 divisions that arrived in the capital saw no action as the Genevans retreated back to the alps.
But while that happened, the bulk of the Venetian forces used the river to move west and then advanced north. Here too the Genevans were on general withdrawal. The Venetians touched actual Genevan soil and went on forward, getting as close as the gates of a southern Genevan city. But the supply lines were very stretched at this point. Supply across the alps was horribly inefficient and the Venetian army simply lacked the materials to wage war in these conditions. After a short siege, the Venetians suffered some casualties from the climate and terrain itself and Generals were wondering if an offensive strategy in this war was a wise choice. To strike at the heart of Geneva, a succesfull campaign would have to cross the treacherous Alps, or simply go around them.
(-3 Geneva, -2 Venetian)

In Italy itself the Roman forces were being fenced in and destroyed by Hannibal. Hannibal was extremely popular in Carthage, and his political carreer increased after he was made Governor of the Italian provinces ruling from Cartago Novo.
Such popularity in both the masses and parts of the army brought fear to some members of the Senate.
With a weak Venice, Carthage was simply the undisputed ruler of the central mediterrenean sea, with increasing infrastructure, growing fleet numbers and links to many powers in the area, this empire might just produce the first true trade center in the continents history. All it had to do was continue on its development, growth and willingness.

The German speaking nations of Germania and Bavaria had remain at peace for many many years. They shared the same culture and language, traditions and beliefs. But Germany would invade Bavaria, this in an attempt to unify both powers and stablishing a unified nation.
The invasion came as a complete surprise to bavaria, the Germans quickly overran the defenses of a city and took it over. This city was used as a link of information and a stockhouse for supplies. After the first and second armies had meet in the city, they quickly moved to the capital. But not as fast as they had wished. The terrain was difficult and forests slowed them down. As they aproached the capital they faced the Bavarian army. The Bavarians had placed a trap in the forest. It was here that the battle of Bamberg took place. As large and crucial as the one of that of Roma.

The Battle of Bamberg Forest started with the Germans being outnumbered 30 to 20 divisions. The first Army saw itself on the defense and received heavy casualties as confusion filled the ranks. But the General of the sencond army abandoned the orignal plan and rushed to help the 1st entraped army.
here the numbers became equal, but German leadership skills just about brought Victory when Defeat was in sight. The painful victory had a price of many Germans, but also of Bavarians. virtually both armies were destroyed, and it only ended when the Bavarian leftovers retreated to their capital. Theres a little victory for the Germans to claim, but it was a victory indeed. It took 4 days to bury their dead.
(bavaria - 22, Germany - 19)

The so called war of the Williams went on. The Dutch were in a bad position after the surprise invasion of what they tought of as their allies. William of orange is said to have suffered a psychological downturn, not being able to talk for a few days. But he recovered, and when it was belived that no plans for the defense of the kingdom were to be sent, they arrived to the generals.
The Army had increased to 32 divisions (including 2 divisions formed from volunteers and rangers). But was this enough to halt the Normans?. The masive norman army and its leader, had 2 separate groups attack at Holland. One was to continue the siege and capture of the capital. And the other one to secure and capture the other remaining city. 15 divisons were dispatched south.
William of Orange saw this action and sent the concentration of his forces south to meet this threat. This battle in which numbers and surprise won the day had completely derailed the Norman expedition south.
But this victory for the Dutch had its consequences, altought it had completely destroyed a large army of Normandy, they had also left the capital less defended. The capital was now defended by 12 divisions, and was surrounded completely by 25 norman divisions for 3 days the city was attacked by archers and arrows that carried fire. but the city stood (thanks to the water from the river that helped put down the fires.)
On the fourth day the order came from William of Normandy to attack. The armies were placed on formation and bathering rams were built.
Inside the now mostly abandoned Dutch capital stood 12 divisions and their king. King william of Orange. he knew that reinforcements from the army in the south would not make it in time. He put his armor on, and had his crown over his helmet. He had inspired his men to fight to the last man. And they did.
The Normans charged, and stormed the city walls. Some walls had already been damaged and the 5th attempt at opening the city door w/ a bathering ram was successful. The Normans poured into the city. The Dutch retreated, and retreated until only William or orange and a few divisions were holding agaisnt the river. William of Orange would hold his ground thanks to the wall of shield his elite guards had held. But an arrow pierced his eye and fell to the ground. The Forces still fought on w. courage. and as a last action placed the body of their king in a small cannoe and kicked it to the river. His body floated and eventually sinked. His body was not found by the Normans. The City fell, and everyone was killed. Every building pillaged, and piece of wealth taken. King William of Orange was dead. and a new succesor was needed to take on in the desperate war. Holland seems to be on its final times....

(Holland - 16, Normans -24)

The last of wars and conflicts took place in Iberia Spain. This war was one of confusion and mistakes. A war of betrayal and rumors.
The army of Catalunya prepared its forces after a short speech by their king and waited. Waited, waited and waited for carthage to attack Gibraltar.
And they waited some more, until rumors began to spread of an actual attack that never took place. Carthage never attacked Gibraltar, but the Catalunyans were so sure that such attack would happen that they took the rumors and made them true on their head. The attack started and the ships of Catalunya moved to the strait of Gibraltar. Here they defeated the Gibraltar fleet that was outnumbered 4 to 1. And so dividing Gibraltar into 2.
The plan seemed to be going extremely well so far (even w/out any carthagenean forces taking place).
Without any sight of a possible invasion by carthage (which they considered to be also comming strangely enough) the armies moved in for the kill. But here was seen that the Catalunyans were simply outclassed by the Gibraltars!. Leadership compared to the gibraltars was abismal. The attack fell short of expectations and were actually being pushed back by a much smaller force!.
Gibraltar would now organize and concentrate its forces to take back its territory and more perhaps. Catalunya was to spend more on discipline and training. The war of Iberia had just begun!.
(Gibraltar -5 squadrons, -3 divisions. Catalunya -15 divisions)

The Sailors of Crimea were a motley crue gathered together for rocking out as well as dominating the blackest of seas... the Black Sea.

Captain, Mad Skipp Longbeard held his men in line, "Avast! Ye scurvy sea dogs, get ye back to work, make fast the mizen mast, scrub the poop deck, clean my boots, and stop standing around ye mizerable layabouts!"

Aye, ol' Cap, as they called him kept the men well enough in line to make his ships run smooth, and his battles daring. The men respected his attention to detail as well as his peg eye, hook hand, hook foot, peg leg, and large beard. Oh yes, he was a sight to be seen to tell the truth.

Ol' Cap was getting antsy, orders had come for him to control the Black Sea, and there was a lot that was required for that, primarily, booty. Aye, he loved booty, his men loved booty, even the booty loved more booty, so the men set out to prowl the Black Sea, looking for, you guessed it, booty.

"Yaaargh, that were some fyne booty if I do sayso meself," spoke Ol' Cap as a scantily clad female was hurried out of his quarters and onto the quarterdeck where the men could have a Jolly Rogering. "Oh the sea life be the life for me," said he.

Ol' Cap saw some men layin' abouts and threw soapstones at them. "If you lazy goodfernothin's won't work, ye won't be fed, 'cept to the Sharks in Davey Jones'!"
