Hey I wanna name some armies!

The first army was Helvetii Guard. It's name shall remain that way.

But from now on, all armies shall be named "Swiss guards", leaving only the first and the "best" military unit to be "Helvetii". Swiss guards shall be named: The first Swiss Guard, the second Swiss guard and so on.

When Shaka was a young man he herded cattle, as most of the Zulu men do. He had to fight of lions, hyenas and rival cattle herders and this made him a skilled fighter and tactician. The small Zulu tribe was threatend by its much larger neighbors, and was under constant attack. They looked to Shaka to help them, Shaka promised to train and run the Zulu Army, and with his Impis beat the rival tribes. When the tribal council wanted to send Shaka home, he refused. With is loyal Impi divisions he initiated a coup-de-ta (sp?) and was crowned king of the Zulu Empire. He instated the much feared, but small, Voodoo cult as a national religion and by fear of curses any man capable of overthrowing Shaka insted plead fealty to him.

Shakas High Priest Masai, chief of the Masai tribe, was made general. From now on all armies will be refrained as Impis, unless they become Legendary, in wich case they will become Voodoo Impis.

the world’s economy continues to suffer in many empires through out the world, analysts say is unchecked military growth.
the chentunian confederation declared war against the lands in India.....but after retracing steps, it appears that is was barbarians who started the war, the chentunian emperor is asking for peace and forgiveness.
Chinas armys easily defeated the barbarians.....two of those army's are now veterans.
the Russian empire has been invaded by barbarians!
the Zulu empire war for unification has ended, is now truly one, their top army division has gained one level up in veteranship.
the empire of geneve has started a new wonder!:"Kapellbrucke", a five turn wonder, Geneva has paid 100 gold, reducing it to 3 turns ($50=-1 turn) its effects: one level up in training, one in movement, and one in culture.(3 turns left)
the empire of Geneva has spent much of her fortune in the wonder.
Geneva is first nation to complete copper shield upgrade.....although many have followed in her foot steps and will finish next turn.
the native american armys have defeated barbarian hordes. but they no longer appear to be the only native americans.

mmmh.......ur soldiers are very fit.....but perhaps and allience is not really needed for both of us, there is no real other threat in the continent, how about we start trade and make each otehr richer?, if u do get invaded we will support u, but at the moment we do not wish for a full allience.

Just as Shaka had gotten rid of all his nearby enemies, warriors from the large Congo tribes was spotted to the north west. Would Shaka make peace with them, or would he attack them? A question he did not yet know the answer to. What he did know his that they outnumbered his armies, and something needed to be done.

We se plenty of your armies on our borders, we are troubled by it but we are willing to sign an alliance if you remove them. We would also like split Africa in two between us. Basically, this means that you may not expand East or South anymore. South, East and the Northernmost part of Africa will be Zulu owned, but the rest you may have. This will give us both roughly half of the continent, finer adjustments to the deal may be done later.

new techs have been discovered, and armys appear to be gathering around the world for the fisrt mass conflicts yet in history.

meanwhile in africa........
the answer for the Congo territories have arrive......but not what was expected......the embasado from the Zulus have return.....well, only his head, and w/ it a message:
we will expand where we please to, africa belongs to us, all of it, we will not give u anything, we ear for peace from ur embassadors, but see war as ur armys have massed at our borders, we too have mobilised our armys to meet and be succesful against any military invasion!, this is not a war declaration, stay out of our orders and we might let ur small puny empire live!

we received a caravan of diplomats in our borders recently, they kept calling our lands "congo", but we all know those storys of an empire deep in the south are just storys to scare the children, but enough about that, we are afraid we cant accept ur allience, but we will pay u by immediatelly sending caravans of traders and luxuries, we have heard that the romans or the russians often ignore your diplomats, that wont happen w/ us.

as genevan scouts moved north, a new kind of people were discovered, they called themselfs the british, and had been just recently settled in northern france, their king and capital are located in a large island off the coast of europe.
