But you are violating their rights to use the sidewalk if your dancing is not allowing them to pass though.

Well the first amendment doesn't apply to me, does it? Obviously liberty must be used with some measure of restraint.

The reason that people are forced to pay those taxes is rather simple, if they didnt have to, they wouldnt. W/out taxes where are u going to get the computers in the first place.

Eh? The point being?

it is not flawed, going to play internet games or yahoo 'happycaffe (or whatever)' chats are evidently no the point of having computers on schools.

Yes, but it is not a matter of purpose, it is a matter of potential. I should be able to use government supplied services to their fullest potential, and for the government to restrict my freedom of speech.

Just think about it, what is the point of going to school? using the internet in it to play games or chat is no different than going to your classroom and play football while the others are trying to learn. "i am expresing myself by playing soccer in the classroom!"

As I've said, I cannot make a case that it is morally right or even attractive, only that it is legally binding.

The stance towards the 1st amendment is aparently being taken to extremes, according to you i can go at a higher speed on my car "cus i am expresing myself" or "my religion told me to". or being able to go and stop other people to use public property since it is my right to express myself by doing so.

What about protests? Don't they stop people from using sections of public property? Are you saying that protests are wrong?

As for speeding, I would very much like to see that case made sucessfully. Liberty must come with responsibility, but liberty is necesarry to the wellbeing of a nation.

When this game comes back the USA will pwn all.

Liberty is not essential for the well being of a nation and in fact many nations have proven that for them to 'be well' liberty was not just essential but oppressed.

Remember SKILORD when making arguments about the world, you do so from an American perspective and in this age of mass media that is ever so slightly more one sided you tend to forget the other side.

For example the mass media of America has concentrated on finding usama bin laden since 9/11 however when people should take a few minutes to stop and ask them these more informative questions about the world?

' Why did it happen?'
' Who did it?'

and so on.

Jason showed me a few links that make the whole 9/11 thing a bit dodgy.

In short I am just pretty much saying all you Americans are brainwashed fools, made into slobbering zombie slaves to the culture of mass media that chooses how you think, what you buy and what you enjoy. I think it is TIME for AMERICA to wake up a stop bombing innocent civilians for the sake of a few cents at the oil bowser, stop listening to the TV for it spews out utter crap and for god's sake dont vote for another George W. Bush, the President with an IQ lower than my dog's

You get from my statement that Liberty is essential that I'm some manner of republican (i.e. brainwashed), quite sorry, in fact I'm a Libertarian which explains that view. It is hardly a uniquely American view either and I'm quite sure that Mr. John Stuart Mill would quite agree with me.

Nations that have guarunteed personal freedom to their citizens have traditionally suceeded to a far greater extent than others, take for example the Roman Republic, which invented the idea of personal liberty, the British Empire, and the American Republic. The counterexamples, of sucessful authoritarians, include such nations as the Third Reich, which obviously did not succeed in the long run and which was a victim of its own opression (Einstein? Anyone?) and the Soviet Union. Depending on what objective standards you consider necesarry to fulfill to denote success the Soviet could or could not be considered a long term success.

I understand this far better than you do, Sheep, don't patronize me. I was with the conspiracy theory 'no airplane hit the pentagon' and 'no commercial jets hit the WTC's' crowd long before you. I understand that the road to eliminating terror is to remove the causes (the American propping up of Mideastern despots such as the Saudi's) rather than waging a pointless war on 'terror.'

I voted Badnarik and frankly I am sick and tired of the ad hominem arguments that are constantly brought against Bush. Frankly the man is not in so strong of a position on the issues that you really have to resort to that.

It is also improper to believe that Kerry was any different, hell he wanted to send more troops to Iraq to build up terrorism against us. The sole difference between the Kerry foreign policy and the Bush foreign policy was that Kerry wanted to get the rest of the world to help us impose our ideals on the citizenry of the middle east, and he couldn't have even gotten that help.

Could you please stop the OOC talking and either continue over PM or in a new thread? We will only get this thread locked...

Ya really. This NES will come back to life someday, so stop da spam! Mods, if you poke your nose in here, please don't close the thread, just delete the spam. This is one of the best NESes of all time!

next person who spams will have chieftess on their butt.

pffft, last post for me.

Well i think that my argument against skilord is not going to work since my claim is about his claim winning a court case, and skilord over the fact that it could be a case in the first place.

pretty much anything can be a case in the US  like that woman that took macdonalds restaurant chain to court for making her fat

i dont agree w/ skilords ideas, but i still respect him :D

Last post for me.

Iraq is a disaster, things get worse each day there and they will not get better. They speak of our troops fixing our mistake there, but in fact they only compound that mistake with each day they stay there. The only way out of Iraq is to leave Iraq, the sooner the better because it isn't going to get easier to leave in the future.

Is there any sort of timeframe for the ressurection, or is it just by IIRWIIR? I really want to see this running again.

It Is Ready When It Is Ready.
From the Wesnoth site.
Are you adopting that or will you give us a date that you will (most certainly not) have the NES running again by?
