Several car bombs were detonated during the new years celebration in Berlin yesterday. Salomon's Liberation Army has declared itself resposible. These 7 carbombs were detonated simuntaneoulsy around Berlin, and an estimated 32 Germans died in the Attacks.
Salomons Liberation Army claims for the liberation of an estimated 7 million Jews in work camps. Ofcourse the Germans claim this to be false and there has never been any hard evidence of this being found so far by outside nations.

Many Vietnamese are in tears today, as news of their long time leader and intellectual for liberation from European hands died in December 28th 1954. This after reportedly being warned of possible assasination attempts. Now the future of the long rebellion against the EU rule is completely unknown.

The North America Free Trade Agreement between Canada, Mexico and the US will come into reality today, the first day of the year. This has come after heavy co-operation between the 3 nations to develop and help defend each other. NEW-
INTELLEGENCE AGENCYS

Every nation now has a new Stat, 'Intel', followed by the actual name of its intellegence agency. and at the end it has a number, as of right now, almost everyone has a 0 in it.

How does it work?
The number at the stat represents its rating, this rating grows as you put more funds in it. the more money you spend, the better the rating, the better the Intellegence agency.

What does it do?
Your Intellegence Agency can be used effectively in many forms, if its rating is high, you can find out things such as:

-how many nuclear weapons a certain enemy has
-location of ICBMs and military forces
-imminent invasions
-counter-intellegence (figure out whos behind those insurgents)
-figure out what the others are researching.
-etc etc.

What else?
Do bear in mind that not everything discovered by your agencys is 100% true, for things might change entirely in a few turns. Or intellegence might be deducted wrong. So altough is a good tool, is not always true of what it finds out.

How do i get the stuff my Intel finds out?
It comes randomly by PM, altough you might request to find out some specific information, you will not get anything until the Intel rating is very high.

Can I order special operations and stuff?
yes, the higher the rating, the more likely they are to succed and impresive the operations can be. But do bear in mind that if the Agency in the target nation has an equal or better rating, chances are it wont work, so measure yourself first.

Resignation!

Georgy Malenkov the current Premier of the union of Soviet Socialist Republics has resigned. He has recently been under pressure due to his fromer relations with Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria who was found to be a traitor and killed as such. His current political 'hiccups' and failures has brought much scrutiny. Malenkov will remain in the presidium and continue to have a voice in the communist party. There is currently no Premier of the Soviet Union and the chairman of the Communist Party has the most control. That would be Nikita Sergeyevich Khrushchev.

Tehran Conferances
Twice over the past few months the leaders of the COmmunist Bloc have met in Tehran. The leaders of the natiosn ahve met to decide the future of the Communist world. Leaders included the former premier, Chairman Mao of China, the Ayatollah of Persia and the current party leader of the Commenwealth of Soviet Republics. The meetings were closed to reporters and there is little to talk about. Reports do come in however that the communist bloc is planning on who to support in vietnam in the wake of Ho Chi Ninh's death. The conferances were short, but many believe much was done.

Siberia?
In an effort to reditribute wealth across the nation, the communist party has enlisted the aid of several contractors and land surveyers to find new sources of wealth in Siberia. If sucessful it should bring great power to the Union. Siberia has been known for it's mineral resources ever since Stalin began to relocate people to work there. Who knows how much remains unused.

The naval docks in Marmansk is proud to report work on the aircraft carrier Kiev is finished. This first aircraft carrier has dramaticly increased soviet naval presence to a global scale. With the introduction of the Kiev, the Soviet Union's naval forces are better then that of Canada. The kiev is part of the Atlantic fleet and is ready for action anywhere in the world.

KGB
The Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti(Committee for State Security) has recently been formed to help vanguard the nation from outside threats. The KGB's main job is to protect the union from foreign spies. It funtions much like the MVD under Beria however the MVD currently still holds law enforcement powers. The KGB functions much like a combined FBI and CIA from the United States. KGB operations have begun and is expected to be very sucessful.

Caviar Prices to Rise
The Presidium has raised the price of caviar to foreign markets by 10 percent. The reasoning behind such is the presidium has believed the capatalist pigs should have to pay more for what they think is their given right. Caviar has always been a dish of the rich in the capatalist nations and an increase in prices is a way the presidumn thinks to get back at them. Foreign companies working on cultivating and shipping the caviar will be forced to pay a fee to continue their work in the Soviet Union. The caspain is basicly the only place in the world where caviar is found and the increase in prices should just be a minor bump for capatalist buyers. Prices within the Union however remains the same.
