Wow, so I take a day off and half the roster posts a turn report. Good job all. One thing to consider: on these tiny islands maps, you can often island hop across the whole damn map and snag the circumnavigate bonus way earlier than usual. Worth exploring on a map where naval speed could mean a lot.

Pholk (Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange)
I was thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, a hard drive accidentally (read: I did something very, very stupid) got wiped about a year ago and I lost everything from that period--including the Deviant Minds database.
Okay, guys, in looking back on page 1, I realize that Rolo isn't actually in this game. I don't know what I was thinking, but I often don't, so I'm not sure what's different this time.
Anyhow, to get things back to moving again...

Captain's log: It appears we have reached earth date 1450. Mr. Spock reports a discovery of a cache of data, but we have been unable to analyze it yet sufficiently due to constant and annoying setbacks. We hope to progress in our research and exploration after reporting to Admiral Fitzpatrick.
Captain's log: Earth Date 1450 BC - Rumors are rampant that our food supply has been infiltrated by hostile life forms.
It seems that the hostile life forms have poisoned our quadrotriticale.
Spoiler:
The barb galley pillaged both of our fishing boats
Mr. Sulu has piloted one of our shuttlecraft in an attempt to engage the enemy, but the hostile life forms seem intent on playing cat-and-mouse. Transmissions from Mr. Sulu report the hostile life form has attacked him! But his sheilds held, and he was able to triumph. He has piloted the craft back to our base to commence repairs.
We have adapted to our primitive environment by honing our skill at pottery. Mr. Spock recommends we continue our research efforts into something called "Polytheism."
Lt. Uhuru received transmission from Mr. Scott, who was piloting one of our other shuttlecraft in an exploration attempt. He too was attacked by these unknown hostile native life forms, but sustained no damage.
After repairing our shuttle, Mr. Sulu transported our Yeoman to our nearby settlement to assist in constructing a mine. We may be able to salvage some valuable minerals from this strange planet.
We have managed to construct a third shuttlecraft out of scraps, and our engineers have started building a granary to protect our remaining quadrotriticale from further attacks. Sadly, some of our crewmembers had ingested the contaminated grain before being warned. We have lost two fine shipmates.
Spoiler:
whipped granary for 2 pop w/ 32 overflow
I understand that our engineers have plans for a new workboat to assist in increasing our food supply. I have ordered our newest shuttlecraft to patrol the area, in an effort to prevent future disasters such as this. At least I can take comfort that, with our new efforts focused into food management, the deaths of those noble ensigns will not be in vain.
Spoiler:
The wb is due next turn, we may want to work on another settler to grab the copper close by before Saladin does.
I was able to do a little bit more exploring but not much-
Our settlements-
I leave behind these log entries, hoping someone will benefit from what we have learned.
Okay. Sorry. Been out of the pocket for two days. I'm up in two games and on deck in a third. How did this happen again? I'll probably play this one tomorrow AM, unless someone else wants to swap before then.
I'm late, so I won't be cute. Just a quick report.
The work boat came in and I set the capital to a settler, though I later forgot to whip him at the optimal time. Sorry.
Poly came in
and I set research to priesthood.
Hooked up the gold in Mon Calimari (French for Squid Love?)
and settled antium below the copper.
I didn't take a worker with me as gold was still being mined and roaded. Let's pull the worker from calimari over to antium to get copper online. Or whip another in the capital.
Are we going to make an Oracle run for something? The standard CoL grab, or something more interesting? Or did we just tech Priesthood for the heck of it?
Anyway, it's looking good. I can't wait until those Lighthouse trade routes start paying off.
