I'm with ya on the upgrades to cav but chivalry is by no means a priority by a long stretch.

As far as tech go buying feeds the AI, stealing does not. There is payback with stealing, there is politeness from the AI with buying. Both can work hand in hand.

My "plan" type thing. Research mono while fighting america. When we're done, we make peace (hopefully we'll have most of their empire) for Theology and then max PP if nobody has it. Then we grind with a lot of cats the byz iron city, upgrade as many horses to knights (hopefully our PP will have gotten us chivalry as well as other things) and kill them? The byz are probably mega gassed. Next problem is France, but they'll probably be in the IA by the time we're ready to deal with them. We can steal or buy or research, whatever is most profitable at the time, to cav's, upgrade our knights, and scortch them as long as they don't have infantry. This is easier said than done, but doable.

Edit: Somewhere inbetween fighting byz we'll finish america off after 20 turns, to eliminate flip risks. Forgot to mention this.

I agree with that. Just ione more thing: whenever it is possible to make peace and start war immidiately after that by booting we should do it.

I like that, :D but you cannot boot in the same turn of signning peace, you can only do it after 1 turn. So it sometimes makes sense to surround a enemy unit so that it has to stay in your territory :lol:
 
I just learned a cool fact: THe AI knows where all your units are, and more importantly where all your units aren't ;) . Just attract them with a couple open cities with defense nearby, and boot them. Can be a way to finish america quick. We could also buy a tech from them for gpt before doing this, except they'll have an incentive not to attack us.

The problem is that if your military is much stronger than theirs, they perhaps would just cave no matter how much you infuriate them, and leave you with huge gpt burden :lol: Is there a numerical threshold? Does any one know?

Preturn: Carhage can NOT get 30 spt, so we'll have only 2-turn NM's.
But White can get 10spt instead of 9 for a cost of 1 food.
Also, Oea can get 3spt instead of 2 for the cost of a taxman.
That Archer next to BLUE looks deadly. But I can't get rid of him.
Researching Mono is not an option, it wouldn take 30 turns.

Our palace look a bit nicer (at least bigger, but I still wouldn't live in there) now.

I still can't understand how you guys play with battle animations on Sid. It just takes too long to watch all those cats fire.

Blue.. It would be safe with the army from Cirta, but Cirta wouldn't be then.
Ok, I leave Cirta with 3 vet Horses in Walls agains 3 reg Archers. Pray to the RNG!

Carthage, Utica, Theveste NM->NM. !?! I only now see Carthage doesn't have Rax. It gets one in 2 turns.
Stack-o-Cats moves into position. They can see the mice from a hill into a city, and they look delicious. What are they eating?

IT: Khm. Our Horses colony fall into Ottoman territory. A settler must get there immediately.
No, even worse. Ottoman settler is already there. What should we do?

White NM->NM, Rusicade H->H.

I don't raze it, because it only has 2 citizens, I think it's better to capture, sell everything and replace. Nothing to sell, tho.

Some NM and Cat build, and Oea produces a settler.
I stopped playing here, because our Horse city location is a decision of great importance (I've always loved the word "importance"), and I don't want to screw anything. I'm really tired and have school tomorrow, so please think instead of me :)

My vote goes according to pic, but will change if you want. We have a flip chance from Hafa (Their culture is about 50x greater than ours :blush:), so we might raze it as well. Also, they are 2 American Spears next to it. It can be defended with the NM from White, but White will be empty then.
 
What's the army doing? IMO it should be used to pillage tiles around Washington, extremely important, could bring down the # of defenders they have when come attack time, then try to raze some tundra cities by itself. The NM is dominant in defense except for the few longbows america has, and an army is a waste when an NM could cover an SoD and kill some units.
 
lurker's comment: are the americans attacking PINK only? IF so, then send the army into american territory, pillage, and americas forces are spread out into little groups instead of big SoD's(if they are doing SoD's i mean)
