Update 8 – Year 1909
Global Events:
The Japanese start an amphibious landing in Sioux territory. Before they could land, though, they run in into a little problem – the Underwater Navy, pride of the Sioux military. Fifteen task forces of submarines have suddenly attacked the Japanese, causing rather big casualties, both to the navy and to the army (as the transports were attacked). What’s worse, only five task forces of submarines were hunted down, meaning that the rest are still in the ocean. The rest of the landing goes more smoothly, as the Sioux committed more forces elsewhere. Despite stalwart resistance, the Sioux are outnumbered and have more primitive technology.

Iroquois continue their offensive in the north and the center, advancing farther into Sioux territory, using their air force to decimate Sioux armies. However, heavy resistance begins to slow down that advance, though the Iroquois are close to linking up with the Japanese. Emboldened by Rommel’s arrival (see below), the Sioux have launched a minor but successful counteroffensive in the south.

German Amerika Korps, led by Erwin Rommel, has suddenly arrived to Sioux territory, and launched an impressive offensive in the best spirits of Blitzkrieg! (see below)

As if to match their Brazilian and Iroquois neighbors, the Incas, too, have completed a large-scale militarization program.
Europe, it seems, is not destined for peace. Scandinavian fascist government has begun land military build-up, on the new borders with Finland...
The British continue their draft (+10 divisions), and war morale is as high as ever.
However, it is not so in Ocitannia. Once peaceful, prosperous nation has suddenly fallen into chaos and anarchy, after the Arab planes bombed Marseilles with their new weapon – the Chloride gas. There are thousands of civilian casualties, including the royal family and nearly the entire government. This, along with the rise of numerous underground movements and ongoing Catalonian rebellion, has led to a many-side civil war in Ocitannia, after the initial panic and confusion. Various factions call for foreign aid – three factions that are worth any mention are the Communists in the east, Fascists in the north, and Royalists spread out everywhere (they have the Ocitannian color). There were many deserters, and what’s left of Northern Africa has been peacefully surrendered to the Arab-Libyan army, as the French forces there either deserted either surrendered.
In Africa, Arab strategy, greatly based on their new weapon, has failed big time. The Brazilian and British leadership, either by amazing coincidence, either by an amazing vision, either thanks to spies, have figured out what weapon the Arabs were talking about and equipped all of their troops with gas masks. Thus, the majority of offensives failed utterly. The bloody offensive on Suez Canal failed, as the British had three times as many troops there as the Arabs sent. Attack into Brazilian-occupied Sudan achieved marginal gains, due to the larger number of Arab and Egyptian forces and superior Arab technology. And the offensive into Sudan collided head on into roughly a million determined British soldiers, who, after a large slaughter of troops on both sides, soon linked up with the Brazilians on the north. Only in two places did the offensives go somehow right – in Somalia, where the British have not left any troops at all, allowing Arabs to grab at least some territory, and in North Africa where the Arabs and Libyans advanced unopposed due to chaos in Ocitannia. To make matters worse, Egypt’s war effort is ready to collapse, due to the massive strain on economy and an uprising in Egypt itself.

Arab allies, Liberians, have invaded Brazilian West Africa. They do have more success then their allies, but it is limited, as there still is a considerable amount of Brazilian colonial militia still there.

The Iberians got pushed out from Turkey with a fairly moderate amount of fighting. This has freed up Turkish forces to help the Arabs...

In a combination of good luck, determination and large amount of foreign aid from an unknown source(s), the Pakistani rebels have endured one more year, despite the massive Indian offensive. But it is unlikely that they will hold out any longer, especially with the recent completion of the New India Project.
Random Events:
In Germany, government’s and communism’s popularity are at all time’s high, after a victorious war with Burgundy and Erwin Rommel’s newest achievements (+2 Culture).
In Arabia, the failure of the much-advertised secret weapon and the recent failures in the southern front have led to a rise of anti-war movements (-1 Culture). Also, due to this, the amount of deserters is growing catastrophically (-5 divisions).

In 1909, as the Iroquois and Japanese forces were advancing through the vast Sioux territory despite the fierce resistance, a sudden strike occurred. A sizeable German expeditionary force – the famed Amerika Korps, led by Erwin Rommel – has landed in Sioux territory, to the south from People’s City.
The majority of the Iroquois offensive was aiming at the north, so the German forces fairly easily divided the Iroquois offensive forces in the south, and struck for defenseless Azteca.
There, they came just in time. The unsatisfied, discontent local peasants, tired of Aztec theocracy followed by Iroquois death camps, have rose up. Erwin Rommel easily took Veracrucha, one of the two main oil sources for the Iroquois, and then found himself welcomed into Tenochtitlan. Soon enough, Germans, with the assistance of local communist forces, controlled the heart of Azteca.

War Crimes? What about the crimes the British commited? They oppressed and killed innocent people for hundreds of years. The British bombarded Alexandria and Uskudar, the British killed thousands of people and greatly damaged the cities. Before you accuse me of war crimes think about what the British have done.

We propose signing and agreeing to not commit atrocities towards civilians, and to have some sort of moral code during war. This will hopefully limit civilian deaths in wars and have a way to fight a war that does not kill innocents. It will also call for an international court that will host trials of those who commit such atrocities. The ones who sign will not hold any other obligation to another, this will purely be an international document and not hold any kind of military alliance. We will sign it at Toliara, Madagascar, where we will host the convention. The code will therefore be named the Toliera Accord.
