Nes2 I

Thank you for your flame. For your information, I had read the books, including the Silmarillion, long before the movies came out. (Not too long -- I'm not that old -- but four years is long enough.)

Headline, Freetown Intelligencer:
PARLIAMENTARY UPSET! CONSERVATIVES RECIEVE MANDATE FROM PEOPLE!

Nobody saw it coming, least of all the ruling Black Socialist Party.

They had known for months about the new, charsimatic conservative out of the east who had promised the Liberians "hope for a new tomorrow." Every politician promised that. What they had failed to acknowledge was the growing feeling amongst the people that the Empire's vast resources and power were going to waste. All over the globe, nations were realizing that the world was shrinking, and thus reforming their policies and strategies accordingly.

The Liberian Leadership had been stagnant. While life in the Empire was undoubtedly good, the people yearned for something that the decrepit old King, the ignorant Prime Minister, and his corrupt underlings could not or would not provide: Real Leadership. To boldly go where no African Nation had gone before. To reach out and grasp the brass ring of World Power status.

And so, they overwhelmingly chose the Conservative Party, led by the charming and persuasive Mosi Ndukama. Out of 200 Seats, the Conservatives took 112, the Black Socialists got 71, and the Party of Allah's Sword recieved the remaining 17.

Would the Empire embark on new seas of world affairs? Would the new Prime Minister bring the Liberian people to claim their rightful place among the Powers of the Earth? Would he allow himself to be distracted by the luxuries of the Office, and forget the hard work he had promised?

Only time will tell.....

ORDERS:

Increase Army
Increase Air Force
Continue Nuclear Project
1 Economic Level to Russia for Oil

DIPLOMACY:

To: World
From: The Empire of Liberia

Who would be interested in selling oil to our nation? We seek large and powerful friends. Thank you.

To: Dual Empirist or whatever it is now
From: The Empire of Liberia

We seek to withdraw from the Organization, but do not wish to cause any alarm to you. Our intentions are a reform of our Foreign Policies, and we must study the entire world situation from an unattached perspective at this time. We may decide to rejoin your group when we get everything settled, as you have been extremely good to us in the past. Thank you.

I dunno about anyone else, but I for one consider Madagascar African AND a world power :).

Welcome anyways, Daniel. I would critisize you for changing the government, but because it is happening so much when a new person joins, Ima just leave it alone.

We wish to renew our oil deal this year. What was the parameters of the deal?

I am not changing the government, fellow African power. We merely held an election in which my party came out on top. We are still a Constitutional Monarchy. We still hold elections and maintain our loyalty to our King. And the Black Socialists shall still have a significant power in our Empire.

{Had to come up with a story to explain the sudden shift in Liberian activity.}
{And Believe me, I KNOW about your problems with govt. changing, after reading through the entire thread. :crazyeye: }

OTHER TOP NEWS

-The newly elected congress has passed President Sergov's controversial "Everyone Represented" proposed amendment to the constitution, which ensures that no political party may never be outlawed to run in elections. Never has a politcal party ever been outlawed, but it is indirectly noticed that it is possible to do so in the Madagascaran Constitution, and from learning from the mistakes that the "democracy" of Korea has made, law makers and President Sergov decided that it better be made in stone that all political parties may run for office.-

-The Army Corps reports that it, too, has the knowledge to construct the deadly atom bomb, the newest and most deadliest weapon in the world, possesed by most super powers. Last year, the German military used it in Europe against Burgundian forces in an attempt to save German lives in the future. Two atomic bombs were also used in wars in South and Central America. All detonations have wielded horrible results. It is of the opinion of President Sergov that Madagascar should never use this weapon in war, but only as a deterrant to war, especially against the threatening Oceanians. -

-The DU approved the employment of President Sergov's nephew (or did I say son earlier? oh well) to lead the newly international task force created to disuay any Black Army attempt to strike again. This force, consisting of nearly 40 divisions, is also to be trained with Madagascaran forces in an indisclosed region, and bond as one army, overcoming the different nationalities. General Sergov was reportedly the happiest he had been since his son was born a couple years ago, and he has, at once, left for the Presidential Hall in order to accept the position. -

Dunno about the last oil deal... Well what about this: 5 turns of oil for 2 economics?

Your use of a nuclear weapon was warranted. You were fighting against a numerically-superior foe, and less life was lost this way then if you were to continue to press on the land attack.
Wrong. Yes, Burgundy had more divisions than germany, but germany where allied with France, Italy and Occitania as well. And Germany had the larger airforce.

To Korea
From China
If my sources are correct, Burgundy was the stronger one when they invaded Germany's allies. Burgundy was the agressor, and refused to accept SEVERAL peace offers.
Also wrong. Germany invaded Burgundy while the "dutch", wherever they came from, rebelled. After this, Occitania and France(and Italy) invaded, too.

I just want to make clear to all that it was in fact Germany and it´s allies France, Italy and Occitania that invaded Burgundy and not the other way around.
And Germany used NUCLEAR WEAPONS against us, claiming that we would use the same weapons on them. A statement they have no proof for whatever.

EDIT: oh, and we understand that the world will do nothing against germany than talk, because both the fascist alliance and the du or whatever its name is, are cowards!

OOC: thebignastyone, Cuivienen, lets not get this offtopic. After all, in this NES, neither USA, neither Bush, neither Kerry, neither Fox News, neither Tolkien exist (or if they exist, they're still quite different).

Jason, I'm quite sure it's "son".

Daniel Khan, welcome in, but remember that if the Emperiste still holds the canal, profits could still go to you if you stay. Just thought you might want to know.

Sheep2, I am a NES Mod, not a nuclear physician. Nuclear weapons blow up and kill people, does that satisfy your curiosity?

Capulet, oh bloody hell is that a government change? And "international law", more or less, already appeared after WWI.

Cuivienen, welcome in. Hope that you will stay here longer then Azale.

Naervod, welcome in. I see that Japan will now leave isolation again...

OOC: If you don't want the government change, I can swtich it back :(

I just think that there will be too many problems being Fascist.

I don't want some idiots rebelling because of democracy, either :(

To Brazil:

I've been part of this NES for the last 3 weeks, not two minutes.

OOC: Don't worry, you can keep the change this time...

Yes, I weighed that in my decison. However, I felt that being in an Alliance with such an unstable nation as Oceania and an imploding one like the Inca would not be advisable at this time.
