From Madagascar
What New Zealand did was WRONG. And it is NOT condoned by Madagascar, or should be by any other democratic nation on earth. Why is it wrong? I shall tell you why.
In a democracy, the people rule. They vote, and who ever is the majority of the vote gets their way. Provided that the minority has rights (the right to become majority), that is the way democracy works. If a minority withdraws from the union becasue it lost a vote, and is allowed to do so, then what is the future of democracy? How can there be a vote when the minority does not abide by it? How can you not have a looser in a vote? Oceania's struggle of the majority over the minority is for sure the struggle to preserve democracy.
And we honor that struggle.
If democracy fails here, if the minority is allowed to withdraw from the union, if any looser in a vote is allowed to do it their way anyways, then the union of any democracy will not stand, and thus the government of the people, by the people, and for the people will not endure for generations to come.
I call to you now, Dominion of the Colonies, to withdraw your declaration, and change your plans of attack upon a fellow democracy. The government may have commited atrocities upon its own people, or they could not have, it could have been the acts of the minority. New Zealand does not deserve to be soveriegn, neither does the Java people, or any others revolting from the Oceanian Union because they are a minority.
