Update 10 - Year 1305 CE
Global Events:
The Visgoths, realizing that the Atlantians outnumber them now, fall back to the ships and depart. Along the way, they fought off the slightly-outnumbering but not well-trained Atlantian fleet, or, well, the part of it that caught up to the Visgoths. The rest abandoned the pursuit soon after.
(-1 Visgoth UU, -9 Visgoth ships, -4 TSA ships)
TSAs ambitions of western expansion seem to be challenged, as Messipians, using the weakened state of Iroquois barbarians, advanced into the land they call Machiga. TSA, meanwhile, established a border with Messipa on the coast.
(-1 Messipian battalion, -1 TSA battalion)
Svenian troops are on the retreat in Yucatan again, after holding their line for four years and inflicting large casualties on the Mayans and the Incans. The Incans managed to overpower them now, though, and horses are not much use in Yucatan. Svenian control will soon be limited to one last city, Chichen Itza. Meanwhile, the Svenian raids are most damaging to the Mayans and the Incans; the supplies gained that way are very important in the defense of the remaining Svenian positions (2 Economy from Incan and Mayan Empires respectively to Svenia).
(-19 Svenian battalions, -21 Mayan battalions, -7 Incan battalions)
The Incans, having improved their tropical medicine (+1 Education) have started a new, more succesful, wave of expansionism in South America, building new cities along the way.
Xenokratis, the Alexandrine explorer, continued to circumnavigate the Incan coast, and recently set sail to the Incan vassal state of Polynesia in the west.
Arlus IVs coming to power in Burgundia ended a period of stagnation following Arlus Is death. Burgundia lost the momentum it gained long ago, and has no colonies in Atlantis, but perhaps it will now jump into the colonial game. Perhaps. Perhaps not, as the Burgundians send forces to join the Fourth Great Tarunist Crusade instead.
Battle of Jutland, an immense naval battle between the remnants of the Severoslavian and Burgundian fleets plus the Britannian Armade on one hand, and the Svenian-Anglian-Fennian fleet on the other, happens in May 1304. After some petty harassment of the Christian fleet, the Tarunist fleet is forced to a battle. Tarunists have a slight numerical edge, and their ships, though not as well-armed, are more mobile. The Christians are outmaneuvered, and forced back. Perhaps not all is as bleak for Tarunism as it seemed since the Battle at Yasnaya and the fall of Scotia
(-17 Svenian ships, -11 Anglian ships, -13 Fennian ships, -26 Britannian ships, -13 Severoslavian ships, -9 Burgundian ships)
In Scandinavia, the battles are very ferocious as well. Again, Anglians, Svenians and Fennians march out to fight the Christians mostly Britannians in this case. The Svenians miscalculate, not using much troops but the militia in the battles here, and though their guerrila and scorched earth tactics lead to increased Britannian casualties, the Britannians achieve a series of victories against Fennia and Svenia. The Anglians, however, managed to regroup and struck the Britannian garrison in Anglia Proper, and, though taking large casualties, retook much of south Anglia in a series of fierce battles. During one of the battles, the Anglian king died and thus Anglia joined Svenia as per his last will.
(-3 Svenian UU, -2 Svenian battalions, -15 Fennian battalions, -23 Anglian battalions, -39 Britannian battalions)
The Clash of Religions continues in Severoslavia
(see spotlight)
(-29 Severoslavian battalions, -2 Severoslavian UU, -25 Lombard battalions, -19 Burgundian battalions, -7 Burgundian UU, -58 Svenian battalions, -19 Baltian battalions)
Rather anticlimactically, the Svenians face no opposition in Jutland. Britannians evacuated it long ago.
Alexandrine Emperor officially claimed almost all of non-colonized Africa as his own, and begun massed expansion. He has a hard time persuading colonists to go along, and the colony near New Berberia has some trouble, namely, the ferocious local cannibalistic Ashanti tribes. They were driven off during the half-decade, but in the crucial battle of Waali, the Alexandrines lost an unexpectedly large amount of men despite the superior technology.
(-2 Alexandrine battalions)
Judean-Persian-Khazarian army begun a new offensive, now concentrated in the SE Anatolia. Though the terrain is harsh and the Byzantines begun reorganizing their military very efficiently, the Khazars have an ace up their sleeve the armored chariots. Essentially, massive wagons moved by specially-trained specially-breeded ponies, and transporting small amounts musketmen and pikemen. While the rough terrain of Anatolia prevents their optimal use, they are still used well, both in defense and, slightly less well, in offense. The Byzantine commander chose to fall back for now.
(-13 Byzantine battalions, -3 Judean battalions, -1 Judean UU, -2 Persian battalions, -4 Khazarian battalions)
Tension in the Sinhalese vassal states seems to quiet down. However, the reputation of Alatesh is damaged after he failed to avenge the lost lives. There are rumors of a coup in Turkan
The first Chinese assaults on Juankorum begun. Although they are surprisingly weak (only a third or so of the besieging army), the Chinese manage to seize and hold the gates. Further advance has been proven impossible, as the Juankorum forces still outnumber the Chinese. Meanwhile, though, the Chinese now know this for sure the city is almost out of supplies, and the morale is getting low. Victory is near at hand.
(-6 Chinese battalions, -1 Chinese UU, -9 Juankorum battalions)
The Tokugawa Faction forces, after severe resistance, finally surrender. Parts of the fleet flee south, though, not to be heard of again for a while (a short while for a sizeable group of them see diplo). The Japanese Civil War is, nevertheless, over at last.
(-6 Hamamatsu battalions, -Tokugawa Faction)
The Black Army suddenly reappears
in Sabah, of all places. The city of Brunei was burned to the ground by the black-clad attackers, and the countryside is scorched earth as well (-1 Economy for Sabah). Taken by surprise and horrified by this army, the Sabahese are forced to retreat in disarray. The Black Army losses are too small to notice. Is This The End Of Sabah?
(-2 Sabahese battalions)
The Sabahese eastward expedition takes casualties due to the storms, but manages to discover the island of Hawaii. The island (or, rather, the island chain) is populated by rather fierce and relatively advanced Hawaiian barbarians, and it has been decided not to seize the islands yet.
(-2 Sabahese battalions, -2 Sabahese ships)
In parts of Sinhalese Kangappura, there are rumors of a rebellion (-1 Sinhalese Culture)...
Random Events:
Reorganization of the Byzantine Imperial military goes well (+5 UU).
Due to increased efforts, Castle Atlanta gets a good start (project sped up by one turn).
Various minor Britannian feudals volunteer to the Royal Horse battalions (+5 UU).
Zulus get more experienced in chemistry now, due to use of gunpowder (+1 Education).

"And Tarun continued his Eternal Battle with the White Christ, and cruel was that battle!"
- Heleg Hardrada, Saga of War. Year 1310 CE.
The battles of the Fourth Great Tarunist Crusade were perhaps always the most heated in Severoslavia. The nation which often thwarted Tarunists before and which was undefeated by a series of eternal wars declared on it, has attracted so much rage that its defenses begun to falter, and seemed near collapse, until the victory at Yasnaya River. Now bolstered by Lombardia and Burgundia, the Severoslavians begun a series of counteroffensives. From the east, though, the still-undefeated Svenians marched on, bolstered by the Baltians. No longer did they find much to plunder, though the Severoslavians evacuated almost all wealth and population into the southwestern provinces.
First great battle of the 1302-05 campaign(s) happened, ofcourse, at Morvansk, the ruins of a small town at which Valdemar was surrounded. The Svenians tried to break out, but most of them were forced to fall back to the town by the Lombardian knights. Valdemar chose to make a heroic last stand against the enemy around the town. As some would later say, for several days the starving and tired Svenians were fighting back hordes of Severoslavians and Lombards, but on the tenth bay of the battle, the Burgundians arrived. They dismoralized the Svenians by skillfully-attained continuous musket fire, and managed to break through the ranks of the western Svenian defenses, and jeopardized the rest of the defenses. Valdemar died in battle, and all the remaining Svenians were butchered as well in a bloody battle that took huge amount of lives. The Christian armies were too tired to launch their planned northward offensive.
The Svenians and Baltians, nevertheless, pressed on, burning down (1 Economy from Severoslavia to Baltia) one of the few remaining major Severoslavian city, Gurza. They only stopped in mid-1305, after a series of indecisive battles not too far from Morvansk
Severoslavia still was aflame, and perhaps all hopes were for naught.

Those of you who think that the "armored chariot" is unrealistic - its not much of a leap from the OTL 15th Century's technology. Not any more then the "skullwalls".
