Civilopedia:
There is few registers about Angola before the XV century, when the Portuguese arrived in the present country. The people that lived there were from Bantu-speaker root, people that inhabitant southern Africa divided in many groups, as the Zulus. The Khoisan was another important root of this region. The people of these groups lived in small groups, were farming, hunting and gathering and their migrations started from the rain forest near what is now the Nigeria and Cameroon nations. The Bantu settled in Angola between 1300 and 1600, more may have arrived even earlier.
The Bantu formed a number of historically important kingdoms, the earliest and most important was the Kongo Kingdom, which arose between the XIV and XV century in an area overlapping the parts of present Angola and Democratic Republic of Congo (former Zaire), in central black Africa. Other important kingdoms were Ndongo, Matamba, Kasanje, Lunda, Bié, Bailundu, Ciyaka, Kwanhama and Chokwe.
Slave trading dominated the Angolan economy in XVIII century. Slaves were obtained by agents called Pombeiros, who roamed the interior, generally following established routes along rivers, some kind of Bandeirantes of Brazil. These Pombeiros got money of European and neo-Brazilian farmers and exchange the slaves by cloths and wine with the tribal chiefs. The African Slave was more resistant to diseases than the Native American one and was more easily to be slavery. Because Brazil was the main colony, Angola did not receive special attention from its Metropolis. The slavery was abolishing just in 1836, when England wanted create a bigger consumer marketing in Americas, Africa and Asia.
The country had its independence just in 1975 when it was divided by two main organized forces: MPLA supported by URSS and UNITA supported by US. These two armed forces fought and took over the country for many times, until today the tension is high.

Kwanhama, Angolan UU:
Kwanhama replace Infantry, cost 100 instead 90 and does not need Rubber to be done. The Kwanhama group, belonging to the Bantu-speaking root, established a kingdom early in the XIX century in the vicinity of the border with present-day Angola and Namibia. Kwanhama kings welcomed trade with Europeans, especially with Portuguese and German gun dealers. Feared even by the Portuguese, the well-armed Kwanhama developed a reputation as fierce warriors. Their kingdom survived until 1915, when a large Portuguese army invaded and defeated then.

The UU is great! And you got the smoke right! In some of the units, it is "sucked" back into the gun, but this is great! :goodjob:

Quite an improvement, but still some ideas:

Change the colour of his neck rings in the first era: change his diffuse colour from that yellow to a more golden tone, and then fiddle with the specuiar colour (brighter than the diffuse colour, perhaps), so that it has some nice metal shine to it and doesn't look so "plasticky".

The same for his suit colour on the last era: try darkening it a bit and playing with some fabric textures to improve its look (though you don't need a strong texture because I don't think it'd look good on the suit)

I fallowed your tips, images in 1st post :)

Quite better now, but I'd still change the colour of both his rings during the first era, and neckchain on the second one to a "brownish" colour, more similar to the tone of the brigther parts of his leopard skin suit. And remember also to play around with the specular colours in order to make those rings shiny as metal and not dull as plastic

I think that facially he's excellent, the backgrounds are very good also. I like the hat in the second era and the texture you used with it.
The only thing I'd change is the outfit in the last era - sorry, but he looks like a bus driver to me. I think it's the hat and the green jacket. Please take this comment in the spirit that it's meant as everything else is really very, very good. I like the UU and the way in which you've done a civ-coloured pocket on the side of the trousers. Very cool ;) .

@ShiroKobbure: Thanks for the ellogie man!

@Jorde: I'll check again the different colors of the gold stuff os the ancient era ;)

@R8FXT: Bus drive?  When I saw in the first version of his big nose + glasses + mustache I thought he was using these masks of comedy   I'll change his uniform color and maybe the hat, I think these changes could improve the modern era ;)

Do bus drivers in Leeds look like that? Cool!

CivArmy, this looks really good! :goodjob: I like especially the second era outfit, although it quite reminds me of Mobutu Sese Seko.

BTW, who is Mobutu Sese Seko?

Him:

Definitely the most stylish dictator of the world :D . He ruled Zaire (Congo DR) from 1965 to 1997 and was one of the world's greatest cleptocrats - his personal assets were estimated to 5 billion $. :crazyeye:

I don't think the hat in the industrial era fits with the rest of the outfit.
