Does the AI defence pact evaluation have to be like that?

There are 10 AIs in game, so the Netherlands have a defence pact with 7 out of 9 AIs.
Theres not one civ with less than 4 defence pacts, played on a large Oval map.

Yea I found this in my games aswell. Makes it quite a bit harder for anyone to go to war with anyone else, which makes the game a lot less fun. I think that should be looked at
 
While I think the AI does this in general, where its at its worst is with Caravels.
I'm seeing this too.

It's really, really hard to take a city with a castle using caravels and galleas. With pure caravel, its probably impossible unless you can surround to stop healing, but that doesn't stop the AI from trying.

Post a bug report on Github, please. Logs/save would be useful as well.

EDIT: Actually, I think I've identified the cause. Should be fixed for next version.

I think I found some mistakes.
1) I can buy B17 bomber without an airport but both fighters and heavy bomber require one to be built.
2) Solar power should have a -1 aluminum just under maintenance cost.
3) Hydro has -1 aluminum just under maintenance cost but says requires 1 iron at the bottom.
 
Something not related to this version, but I asked me now cause I plan to go for a warmonger game.
What happens with Great Works in national wonders, if I conquer a city and the national wonder in it gets destroyed cause I have already constructed this building?

As I remember GW will relocate to your other cities. If there are no space for them - they got destroyed.
 
Post a bug report on Github, please. Logs/save would be useful as well.

First of all, just registered to say thank you for your incredible work. Is there any chance a DLL is released with the Defensive Pacts hotfix so we can start a new game?

It's possible a new version is coming out soon, I'm not sure when Gazebo plans on releasing it.

But sure, I'll post a hotfix later tonight.
 
Hotfixed the excessive DP/DoF issue, as requested. You can call this the 1-6 DLL.

Should be savegame compatible with previous hotfixes (12-20-2 onwards).

If you start a new game, keep in mind a new version might be coming out sometime soon. Not sure when, though, you'd have to ask G. :)

Also, I had to re-download an old version of the repository to build this, so there is a possibility it'll have an issue running correctly. If there's an issue, let me know.

No, it's the 12-24 DLL with the 12-30 fix and this fix. No other changes, since I wanted it to be savegame compatible.

Something to say about diplomacy in this version.
Iam not sure if this is related to the fact that everyone has a defence pact and in most cases the human not, making it only attractive to the AI to attack the human.
But in general the AI kinda goes crazy in its war declaration against me, if its in industrial age or behind. Peaceful game all day long, good friendship with the neighbors with lots of green diplo modifiers and some turns later they declare war against me with a war pact. Then like every 10 turns another civ joins in the war, even if they are sitting on the other side of the map never be able to reach me with units.
Maybe its realistic, but not really funny to face people which were 200 turns your best friends.
