I've seen that one a couple of times in the forums. Usually called the 999999 gold per turn cheat I think (might have the wrong number of 9's).

Whoever suggested it got rather flamed, but then I don't think (s)he admitted it was a "cheat".

Does this cheat still work in the latest version? I thought Firaxis fixed this bug in the first patch, 1.17f...

I haven't played Civ3 in a while. I perfected the Ecconomic based vicorty / Trading State Victory. That one kicks ass, perfect for my style of play. Too bad no Marco Polo's Embasy... :-(

It doesn't work for me! The civ just says they are not afraid of me even though all they usually have is a warrior. I surround the last city with units and pillage until they have nothing yet they still think they can beat me any day!

I suggested this "thing" if you have a big army then ask them for 9999999 gold per turn. (i have 1.07 i like to bombard all over lol)

The reason it doesn't work is because Firaxis fixed the exploit in v1.17f.
