Sorry Licinio but I think you don't have a chance that will happen.
You're option is to modify the Portuguese into the Brazilians.
If I play on a worldmap I would start them in Brazil anyway.

The Inca certainly deserve to be in. This game is about the total history from 4000 BC to now, and they left behind some great cultural treasures and history.
And sorry to say but Brazil is to young to be a Civ. 200 years ago most of Brazils ancesters were still in Europe or Africa. I know America is in but thats because the game is made there and most buyers live there, so that is a marketing thing.
I've been last year to you're country and know that it's very proud on it's heritage. But all the old buildings I've seen are clearly part of the Portuguese Civilization and even some forts and buildings were Dutch. But you are right that nowadays it's a huge and strong and also well known and proud country.

C´mon! Brazil is too young!!!! "America"!!!! The USA shouldn´t be in the game if you ay so...
It would be even more fun, if you have civilizations like: Brazil, Australia, Austria and others because it woulg give a look of "modernity". You could make like... a III World War... But no just that... I would prefer seeing a civ called "Italy" than Rome... Or "Arabia Saudita" instead of Arabia.... Just to make the game more modern...
P.S.: It is true that the Dutch has been here before... but it didn´t give that much culture as you said....

Why not make the world more modern?

because it is a game from the beginnings of time, and ancient Rome, Egypt, Baylon, Sumeria, Greece,China, and India made more contributions during that time then any invention save electricity durin the industrial ages up- ther is no reason to include unimportant moder nation, and I say nations because many certainly are not civilizations, I hold a great deal of doubt about even the US, despite the fact that it itself is quite differnt culturally from the rest of the world;

I dont mean to nation bash, but name me one feat the Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Austria have done for the world that merits them being included in the game

OK we know for a fact that the Inca, the Maya, the Hittites and the Sumerians are in the C3C. But what about the other 3 (or 4? I don’t know!)?

We need to thing logical. The new civ’s need to interactive with the know and present civ’s. E.g. The Maya and The Inca with The Spanish. The Hittites and the Sumerians with Egypt and Babylon.

But what about the remain civ’s? Tell me???

Let’s think logical:

- Pacific civ’s. That can’t be any at all. Because they weren’t technological advanced. And they were “conquer” by the European Civ’s. Right?

- In Asia. Maybe the Thais and / or the Sumatrans (Indonesia). Reason: they had international relations with other civ’s. The first one with the English, the French, etc., and the second with the Dutch, the Portuguese, the English, the Chinese, etc…

- Africa – Ok I agreed on this one that is necessary a civ from this region. I concord with Ethiopia. But only it, because the remain “civ’s” on this region don’t had any big impact, all done the slavery was a act of conquer in those times. (Please correct me if I’m wrong.)

- America. Ok perhaps the only is missing is the Sioux. They had a important impact on American History. However there are too many native civ’s in America all ready. A another possibility is Brazil. They had also a big impact in History. Especially in South American History. (but here I do not but my hand, because I don’t know the remain History of the others countries.

- Europe. In this region I have to tell that I only have same lights in West European History. So for me the civ’s that need to added for the list are the Portuguese and The Dutch. The first one have the greatest impact of the world – the possibility to reach other nations by sea. And for that they had contact with the Chinese, the Japanese, The Arabs of Africa and Arabian Peninsula, the Indians, the Sumatrans. They colonise South America (Brazil), parts of Africa (Angola and Mozambique). They had allies during the Napoleon invasions (with England). The second one, by knowing that there was a New World and a opportunity to increase Commercial and land, they also colonize and had conflicts with others nations.

- Europe (2). The Austrian-Hungarian Empire, was one of the most empires on Central Europe that have a big impact on €pean History. For that need to be considerate. In another hand, Poland is also a civ to be considerate. But in this issue I take my hands away and leave for someone who knows the History of that zone.

In conclusion, Pacific civ’s no way Jose. Maybe the Maori, I know that the had a great impact on New Zealand’s History, and perhaps they here the most technological advanced in that area. The Polynesians and the Aboriginals, I like them, but for a civ NO!

THINK LOGICAL!!!

For me Ethiopia, Portugal, Nederland. (If 8, Thailand or Indonesia, for me Thailand).

P.S. Não queries que houve uma civ do tipo FCP ou SCP ou SLB???

Azande??? who are they? and were (world map)?

The Azande were a people of tribes inhabiting the congo, known for to be so ferocious they made the zulu look like baby- the held muslim, belgic, and german aggresor alike for quite a while, and would make a nice filler for any world map

A thing I don't get, is all this talk about sumerians and babylonians in the same context. It seems they will be together in "The Craddle of Civilization" scenario. But problem is they have no connection on a horizontal time-line what so ever. The term Sumerians covers the 'first' civilization in mesopotamia. Where the first cities were build and the cunei form script invented. This is like 2500-5000 BC, according to your definitions.
The babylonians, with Hamurabi who is the leader in civ 3 implies the old-babylonian period, is about 1792 - 1737 BC (of course there is also the middle-babylonian and the neo-babylonian period, the neo ends around 300 BC). So in conquest, as I have understood it, they place babylonians and the sumerians in the same scenario (correct me if I'm wrong), and the whole point of the conquest-scenarios is to be much more historical correct than it is possible in a normal civ-game.
Basically it would be like putting the italians AND the romans, in the same "historical" scenario.
It makes no sense!!

'cept 'fo 'da fact it gives ya mo' arse to kick! :D

I agree with you except for

1. Polynesians - why people??? WHY??
2. Azande - .....
3. You know who

And do NOT put the Austro-Hungarians in there. Just look at the name for crying out loud. They weren't even an actual people, just 2 different ones.

Do not put in Brazil either. As soon as I get conquests, I'm taking America out and replacing them with the Poles or Hungarians.

If the Polynesians are a civ, i'm replacing them with Bosnia.

1) polynesia- a gameplayh choice for the most part, I would like to a civ spread out over the pacific islands, mabey to technology, but a highlly addictive culture- surfing, luous (SP?, those beach side party around a big bonfire),Hawaii in general (a good capital perhaps), and a good deal of the culture survives to this day.

2)Azande, another choice made for gamplay reasons, the justifacation being

- west african civ (in the congo), where the U.S, and in fact all new world colonies got thiere primary source for slaves
-If the Zulu got in for being nasty, ferocious, and attempting to hold off the Europen powers, why cant another, who was actualley successful for quite while get in

#)I dont wanna start in this thread how the Byzantines should be the number one choice for any civ expansion,so I think my arguments in your thread about the last remaing civ should do well...

Knowing the historical stupidity of the firaxis folk, they probably will choose the Austro-Hungarians, with Varna as the capital and Mindaugas the Great as the leader. (Sorry, the latter part was a joke ;) ).

No, no Austro-Hungarians. Austria-Hungary only lasted for the period 1866 - 1918 and combined German and Hungarian and Slavonic cultures. Sorry, it's just a silly idea. Mind you, firaxis has added the Sumerians as a civ, so, I guess the Austro-Hungarians are a possibility (I mean, have they looked at their "Babylonian" city-list  )

POLAND!!!!!!!! the poles need representation up in here! we kicked serious ass during the middle ages. the Polish Guards were the best in the world at the time of Napoleon. he even had them guard his palace (or w/e he called his house). the Hussars were the best mounted unit until the development of the Armed Cavalry. just because they were wiped out completely more than once doesnt mean they shouldnt be involved in the civ3 experience. they at least had the strength to come back each time unlike Rome, Babylon, Carthage......... all of whom are involved in the game. the Culture linked into them is by far the greatest in Europe today.

btw, anyone kno where i can find the mod to put the Poles in my civ3 ptw?

I thought i posted in this thread, obviously not...

Scotland! :) If they dont get included, id quite like to see the Abo's in there...
