Oh, yeah... and I voted for the Incas. They deserve the title of civ more than the Aztecs IMO... they were an empire hundreds of years before the Aztecs barged into the area.

I don't think the Scots are entirely covered by the Celts. I bet you the PTW Celtic civ has no Scottish cities except Iona.

There are too many European Civs
Sure, there are plenty that deserve to be in-game, but their ideals and goals are generally similar.

More African civs, SURE!

But what i really want is civs that dont belong or are not close to ones we already have.

Im talking about Australian Aboriginals, Maoris, Polynesians... when playing world maps its so sparse down there

It's hardly too late, this poll is post-PTW, which is the reason none of the PTW civs are on the poll.

Without question the Netherlands.
I was there for a week earlier this month and was amsazed at the history I didn't know about. I knew about VOC, but didn't realise that their golden age had been that productive a golden age.

Prior to this trip I had always being mildly surprised to the calls to have the Netherlands included, and felt that once Spain was in PTW that the next clear choice of Western powers was Portugal. However I take that back. The Netherlands all the way.

No, the Kurds are the largest ethnic group in the world without a country that can adequatly be deemed their homeland. Although I don't see how they deserve a civ in civIII.

I can't Belive no one has mentioned one of the greatest civilizations of aaaall time and a very important one.
w/out it Europe as we know now would never existed...

I mean the Bizantines, i know they were partly greek and partly roman but from 5th century till 14th century they existed as an independent empire.
the UU could be the Catafracta and a great leader could be Belisarius or Justinianus

and they fought great wars against the ottomans, arabs and vikings too.

and I think spanish and vikings are a MUST too.

Being norwegian and bit of a patriot I was rather dissappointed when the vikings were left out of c3 ... good thing they're coming back

and they fought great wars against the ottomans, arabs and vikings too

I really don't recall the vikings being organized enough for a war against the byzantines. Ok - they were trading a bit down there but I don't think they fought wars with them.
