I don't know if it helps at all with writing orders. It is a tool to adjudicate diplomacy games. Basically, the GM enters in all the players' orders and it pops out a map each season. You could probably do a google search for it and try it out for yourself.

ok, thanks, found it, and it does look like a tool for GM, and less for the players.

so, are we going to keep this thread, or start a new one for diplomacy?

BTW, who here has msn messenger, aim, etc, it is a lot easier talking that way, I have msn.

Oh well, I'll do the best I can with a bad draw. I've written a few letters, am I allowed to start sending them off now?

Please send me all letters by email, I check my PM box infrequently.

Actually, you didn't list Italy at all . You listed Russia 4th and 7th, so I assumed (obviously ) that you meant Russia 7th, leaving Italy 4th. And partially because these guys were getting antsy for waiting for you... but hey, Italy is a good nation in my opinion.

I have one request,
since the school is starting, i was wondering if we could move the deadline to lated, maybe like 7pm, so I can get some stuff done after I get home from school? otherwise I'm loosing an entire day, and it doesn't seem reasonable, so how about it? 7 pm my time sounds ok to everyone?

I suggest everyone does what I'm doing, send out orders right away after you see the board, and then revise them [send out a new set] after diplomacy.

The GM knows only to use the last set of orders you sent in, and sending in "rough-draft" orders right away ensures that if something happens [forgetting the deadline, etc] you at least have SOME moves, even if they aren't perfect.

If you can tell me what "7pm your time" is I don't know what time zone you're in. If it's EST, then I would say sure, why not. If anyone disagrees, though, we'll keep the current times. The basic idea is to do everything before the deadline, not during it .

Exactly. When you miss a deadline, either because you forgot or for some reason didn't have internet access, you'll be kicking yourself. So do this.
