New Earth IOT

Did not realise, sorry. Should I change my starting claims?

There are still landmasses with no one on them, like for instance the one south of KE's continent.

You have the chance of redeployment.

well then, changing starting claims to:

After the above application has been finished, it's app lock time.

On a less serious note, why start on the territories whose territories are half surrounded by water-adjacent territories?

EDIT: Nevermind, orders lock because this turn is taking forever

153 A.E (After Earth): Return of Humanity
9175.png

The first three years have passed since humanity first arrived on the planet. Few technology, few tools, but massive levels of ambition. The remainders of humanity is passing through it's most important test since the ice ages. With nothing but antiquated wieldable weapons (for instance, rifles, shotguns and pistols), agricultural machines, seeds for agriculture, scrap resources from the ships, the cargo from the ships, books to keep the culture high as well as to give the little help they can give, solar panels and the hearts of 7000 people (for each new nation), humanity is expected to raise again from the ashes. Everything else, from communications to industry, will have to be done like the good ol' days, with radios that work at a local scale at best in the case of communications for instance.

Statistics:
Spoiler :

Region population:
German Federation:
Region 1 (4500)495+; Region 2 (4500)495+
New New York:
Region 1 (4500)495+; Region 2 (4500)495+
S.U.D.Z
Region 1 (4500)450+; Region 2 (4500)495+
The Peacekeepers
Region 1 (4500)450+; Region 2 (4500)450+
New Persia
Region 1 (4500)495+; Region 2 (4500)495+
MartinLuther's nation
Region 1 (4500)450+; Region 2 (4500)450+

This is how the population is calculated: The population every turn grows by a 10%. If your region is in a water-connected area, the growth will increase by 1%. I just realized that the geographical map was down for some reason in the OP, so I'll put it here.

mlvq.png

The infertile areas on the map give a -3.5% penalty of growth. Rivers give a bonus of 1.5%. Since the map was down, the penalty has been removed only for this turn. Feel free to move if your zone falls in the penalty zone. Don't worry, if you move, you still have 5 claims to use. Also remember to not spread too much in water-zone areas so all your regions have the 1% bonus, you'll still suffer from the stability penalty.

OOC: I had to change the colours of some nations because some camouflaged into water.

3 every other turn yes?

SUDZ.png

BTW: keep the SUDZ land the blue they are. The blue I use sticks out from the water. ;)

Will post details of the claim lands much later on... perhaps the evening.

Edit: the right land claimed will be Saint-Simonia, with its prime settlement being Saint-Simon.

The north-west land claimed with be Comte, with the settlement of Comte.

South-west will be the province of New Pentonville, with the settlement of Stuart Mill

New Persia is now expanding by allowing the families to split the new Satrapies of Ektabana, Ersagade and Kiva.

(oh come on why on earth can't I postapocalyptify names.
Ektabana - Ectabana
Ersagade - Pasargadae
Kiva - Khiva)

Several human settlements still chose to expand during this time period, although a few already gave up on their expansionism.
