Looks like I am one of very few people here who is MUCH more interested in new features than in a new civ. The features will affect every single game, the civ only some games.
New features are very interesting and important, I don't think anyone would deny that. I just don't expect to see anything substantial about them in this video that the CivFanatics community hasn't known about for some time. Hope I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure we don't have enough information of emergiences and our information on loyality and golden ages is incomplete.
Surely, I expect the videos to have some repeating info, since they are made for broader audience, but new info as well - in the recent livestream we've seen presenters deliberately not answering some questions. Those topics are likely to be covered.

I'm with you. At least if there will be real and thus far unknown details for us Civfanatics. But if that's the case I'm more than happy about the change of expected revealings from Firaxis. We'll see...

They have said so little about the emergencies mechanic that I suspect it's a very, very minor feature indeed. It would still be interesting to see something about it in today's video though.

Speaking of emergencies, I like to think in the likes of:
1. When a player has successfully launched a spaceship or built a spaceport, an emergency involving other civs to have a mission to spy spam the leading scientific civ.

2. When a player converted a city with a holy site, other civs with opposing religions should be tasked with a mission to win religious wars or remove heresy to the leading religious player.

Something along these lines will be appreciated if they discuss it today.

When a player captures enemy capitals, when he/she is close to Domination Victory, perhaps the emergency is to get all remaining civs to liberate the capitals.

This would be triggered sooner if the aggressor civ wipe out other civs fully.

I'm expecting a Toronto sighting. Fingers crossed on no Kumasi.

Hopefully they cover vanilla changes (unlikely) and finally showcase emergencies and talk about any scenarios.

Did anyone consider the possibility that today at „video time“ is when the NDA for preview let‘s players is ending and they will publish really all details of their current build (which is lacking unannounced civs)?

That would be amazing if true. We shall soon find out.

does anyone have a link to the stream? It doesn’t say on the Twitter

I believe it's a video not a livestream. It will be up on YouTube in 10 minutes.

I doubt it is a stream, more likely a video or a blog post

Almost there...
