I assume, hopefully, the New FFH art will be in the next FF patch. Last time it seemed to require a bit of poking ;)


So here's some more poking. A list of the new art in FFH for 0.41. Or at least, the new stuff kael put in the changelog

I already posted links for the above in my art thread. I hope to have an austrin swordsman and new mounted warrior ready within a week too.

I can help with the xml artdefines for these, if needed. If anyone has done some of it already, feel free to post your xml here. so that hopefully it can be ready to just merge in with FF's new code before the next update.
 
I like the new graveyard graphic from Rohan. Would be cool for D'Tesh at the very least.

If you do get the chance to do some work toward these it would certainly be appreciated. It's a job that I always know *should* be done - but always seems to drop down the priorities list as other things come up, so it tends to be put off "until later".

It does make a nice visual impact however and the new artwork is looking great so I definitely want to include it.

After playing a game as D'Tesh, i really think graveyards need to behave like villages and be dynamically generated. It's pretty monotonous to look across of empire of the exact same graveyard improvements.

A road is coming through here? Move those headstones around! Dig up the bodies!

But the view of all those graveyards sure is sweet. :mwaha:
 
I'm not quite sure how to do the artdefines for the pegasi. Looks like they work through the artstyles in the civilizations folder.

Can you advise, vehem?
 
Turns out Rantine has a new model. When did that happen?

I don't recall seeing it anywhere in previous FFH patch notes, but we've been using the old one for a long time.
 
Wait, I've started on the units, so I might as well finish that. don't do the top section of units. (arthendain - lanun horsearcher)

But, since you've already imported my art into FFplus, it'd be nice if you could submit the artdefines for those. Assuming you have the folder structure all set up in a logical manner?

Oh, and kael did use my donal lugh model, so no need to worry about that. It's the only one so far though. he didn't use the new griffon :(
 
Yeah, saw that he didn't use the griffon. I'm going through the unit stuff too though... Importing the blood animations because that's apparently never been done. Doing a line-by-line merge, and then I'll have to add them to the FF units by hand... Could take awhile. Once it's done I'll upload it. Any art that I flatout changed will be overwrote with the original, anything new will be kept in the file.

Well, at least don't do the unit artstyletypes. I'll upload mine, here

This has all the new FFH unit art setup to point to the artdefines. Compatible with FF patch N. I don't recall much in there that you would have changed, so you can just paste in any mechanos/dtesh entries and such.

Also, when it is will I have to download some extra files or just what you upload here?
 
once I'm done, I'll post everything that's needed, so you should just be able to install that. although you'll need to install FFH v0.41 obviously too.

So I will have to:
1. Patch my FfH to v0.41.
2. Re instal FF with the patched FfH as a base.
3. Instal your upload.

Did I get that right or did I miss anything?
