my point was that America could probably do w/o the Great wall ... <sheesh>
In game? That's the India/Ottoman attempted GW.
Anyway, back to game:
Oh, man, the Roman forces seems to be endless, now they are back to military No. 1 again.

Alright im back from vacation. If you want to keep playing this one Mel, I say go for it. Or I can take over again. Also thank you very much.
Well hi there America! We must all be on the same "continent" then if you can reach me. I will have plenty of spare luxuries to trade if you wish to expand a bit. I am willing and capable of investing in an ally on the other continent![]()
Were you saving money for defense against your neighbor? If it matters to you I am on the other continent. Its a fairly long trip to reach you and I still havent found the Ottomans.
Sorry about that! I was saving up for a settler. After that, my money will be free to work with!![]()
India we have sent you a new offer to aid you in settling a new city. We hope you find it agreeable.
Oops, I was thinking standard speed. Its still a worthwhile trade.

It looks like a Pangea map instead of continent? It may also be the extra sight of Americans to allow them see beyond the water. Siamese scout has not yet learnt the swimming skill. Could Indian and/or Ottoman cartographers describe the sweet spot to stand in order to make contact and establish trade relationship? Perhaps a small piece of map showing the land feature? Siamese tradesmen have enough lux supplies to make both nations happy and prosper.
There is a seperate continent. America hasnt found any southern shipping lanes so you will have to establish open border treaties with Arabia I would imagine. Plus maintaining ours. I am unsure if there is a northern passage around our landmass so maybe you will have to discover a way to cross the deeper waters.

Ceasar has authorized Roman representatives to offer our surrender to the Siamese armies. The nightmare he hoped to avoid has come to pass regardless, and we cannot hope to resist the elephant cavalry closing on Rome. We have offered Siam the little we still possess and await its response.
true enough ... there was a moment that I wasn't able to adequately prepare forIf there had been 2-3 ballistas with the initial push, the outcome will be drastically different.
Fair enough, was worth a try ... you know where to find itRKH wishes no more or less than the South East of this continent, and Rome will certainly be part of it.
Having been playing a few games with you, and I shared border with you in many games as well. I wonder if you could try to
1. neglect all early wonders and early shine, and
2. build nothing more than a monument, 1-2 scouts, followed by a granary to grow your capital to pop 6 before making or settling the 2nd settler.
3. Always lock down all food tiles and put cities in production focus whenever the empire is happy.
But you may not want to have new game now, so try step 3 in the rest of the games to see how things turn out.
yuk it up, i think you know my answer to that ...
