New info on XP

True but you have to realise that out of the many SSRs the RSFSR was the flagship and the center of all the political, military, cultural, etc. of the USSR so in that sence Stalin dos kinda' sorta' fit the ticket for a new Russia leader.

Don't hate Dictate:king:

"kinda sorta", hmm, I would agree with that:lol:

It wouldnt be a big deal if he was added, but I would still disagree about it, being the stickler I am.

would be fun on a cultural game if the AI realised you were close to the winning point tried to do something about it. Perhaps a trigger at 35k-40k culture. i know if i knew a civ was a threat and about to win i would do something if i could.

Yes since there are alliances the AI could have triggers for culture, domination and points. With vassal states maybe even have the "way behinders" join the leader to balance the 2-3-4 against 1.

On the other hand it would probably open a whole new class of player cheats.

perhaps it could be added as a setting which could be disabled.

Do you want the ai to try and stop you winning. tick here

Joking aside im sure its not impossible.

I wonder if the expansion pack will have a fix for BFG 6800GT OC owners so we can play the game....

why are Gaul in this?? I mean France are there already? is it a case of they didn't want to put in a Civ they had done already and had to come up with a new one quickly?

and why do the developers have such a fixation with the Rise of Rome scenario?

I'm looking forward to it obviously, but there are some things which I suppose I'll really need explaining to me

I think it is safe to assume that Gaul = Celts especially considering, as monkspider mentioned, that the Celts were referred to as Gaul in the first previews of PTW.

" Given the popularity of Civ IV, things look good for Warlords. Firaxis has been working on the expansion for quite a while, and we can probably expect that it will introduce a slew of general improvements to the core game, on top of the ones that Firaxis has already delivered via existing patches. Warlords is on track for release sometime this summer, and we'll keep you up to date with developments."
Does this mean we have to PAY for the patch to get the original offering running on round wheels instead of square ones? Or am I just letting the last 4-5 months of less than optimal gaming make me cynical? Maybe one of the new civs will be called Firaxis, and it will have mercenary/financial as its traits.

Ill buy the xpac only because the Vassal State feature and unique building. And if Stalin can have one of the new leader trairs (if any), even better.

And ill totally pre-order it if a Brazilian civ makes into the game.

It amazes me how many people are complaining about the civilizations, bugs, scenarios, "not enough features", etc, and also complain about things we don't even know yet.

Seriously, people, stop whining. I don't care what scenarios we have, just as long as they're fun. Isn't the fun factor what matters?

And pine, what are you talking about? Why would you have to pay for patches?

Just maybe because the patch/improvements to the core game.. will be in the XP.
