new mac pros

I've just done my first serious MPEG-2 encode and DVD author/burn. With my old machine I used to set it to encode and then go for lunch. Today, it whipped through the whole process in about five minutes. Way to go, Apple!

(Sorry, that doesn't really answer mickeymoose's question. I've just looked at the 24" iMac specs, and they look pretty good if you get the 256MB graphics card. But I'm not the best person to ask.)

I gave up hoping for the xMac and went ahead and got a 24" iMac with the 7600GT video card. It has no problem running Civ4 with everything maxed out. Since it has an nVidia card it can even run full screen with FSAA turned on which causes kernel panics in the ATI Intel macs. I don't really see a new iMac coming out at the Expo, since they were just updated.

Core 2 Duo MacBook/MBP? ... Leopard? ... iTV? ... Released? What more do they need?

Something I want... :D

but seriously Steve must have something up his sleeve, those would be just so predictable. Perhaps another killer feature for Leopard?

Ah! Well, we already know that Leopard is more than the sum of the bits he showed at the WWDC. That's where the surprises will be, I hope. I wanna see it kick Vista way into touch.
