They take less if you automatise them and keep a few text sheets with pre-formatted stuff for day/night updates, player lists, player deaths/lynches/WoGs/revivals, item votes and auctions, etc.
It depends on the type of game. For a relatively vanilla game, such as Zack Mafia, I only really have to spend about thirty minutes each day on it (I don't count reading and responding in the thread, because that's something a player also does).
