Well, here it is, my first map.. not much to say about it. It's basically a Small, 4-player desert map... the starting locations are four oases. I've included two "paradises" on the map... it's up to you to find them. A screenshot would ruin this. Tell me what you think of it... it's my first mapping effort. Be tender. Be gentle. But if there's something wrong with it, let me know. I'm not sure if I balances resources well enough.

cool map...it's quite challenging without good grounds to settle... but nice map :). However... something weird happened during playing that has never happened to me before in a civ III game...
I was just in the chivalry ages and suddenly the game exited for no apparent reason and I was back in windows. I don't know if this crash is related to your map or to the game. I use version 1.21f on Windows XP.

Hmm... well, I created the map back in v1.17f... on a Win XP machine, should that make a difference. I'll futz around with it; is anyone else having problems with the map?

i am running windows 2000, with the latest civ patch, and experienced the exact same problem when i loaded from the save that dgerards included.

Disaster in a hat with bees. Is this related in any way to any known universal bugs? Just kinda casting that line out there; I'm not well-versed when it comes to the horribly technical side of Civ III. I just play the game a whole helluva lot. ;)
So, yeah... if anyone could help out here, it would be greatly appreciated.
You'll get your name mentioned in the Readme. Um. Whoopee.

I've seen this kind of crash before. Check to make sure you didn't add any units, or change any references to non-existant text entries. Also if a unit is being built that doesn't have its own directory, the game will crash.
