Are there really NO modmods to C2C or am I just looking at the wrong place? C2C seems to be pretty popular, so I it is hard to believe, that no one made any modmods so far. Especially concerning some new features that have always been ambivalently received, like future techs.

I for my part would really appreciate a c2c mod which ends before transhuman era and instead adds lots of 20th century content (more unique units) and sth like a "slowdown" once you reach that era. Unfortunately I'm not really able to mod myself. So, does sth alike exist?
thnx

It may also be that the people that want to add stuff to the mod usually get added to the C2C team. :p

Quite likely, since C2C is very much a more is moer mod, and subtractive mods are in some ways harder to manage.

I feel that this would have been a better way of adding Nomad stuff. Make a mod mod for it. Test it out and when it is settled merge it back into the main C2C. Currently C2C has a whole bunch of unfinished stuff in it which makes it clunky.

I think I will make my new diplomacy stuff as a mod mod until it is complete enough to merge back into the main mod.

Couldn't the same thing be accomplished with the MLFs? That would make it easier for the SVN users to test things we think aren't 'game ready'.

In theory but it has not happened in practice. Any way I am going to try it out and see.:mischief: My first modmod will be a Religion Missionary mod. Then the Barbarian Diplomacy mod. Then the H.G.Well's "War of the World" which goes against two of Hydros stated requirements for aliens. Viz, "there shall only be one" and "they won't look like humans". H.G. Well's Martians look like bear sizes octopuses (technicly they are decapuses) but they self evolved from humanoid looking creatures, just keeping the important bits (brain, eyes and fingers and toes in the form of tentacles with a minimum amount life support organs)

I'd like to see someone do a Fantasy type C2C, i'd infact really like that idea.:goodjob: Dont know about "magic" though??

I do have hippogriphs and their rider units. as well as others. Sitting around somewhere.
Art is the least problem I think as with all the FFH2 derivatives there are loads of fantasy unit models available.
It would be quite some work to convert the mechanics behind it though (the DLLs have diverged a lot).
If someone wants to do that work though, it could add up to a Shadowrun-like scenario.

having orcs + elves + undead + alien like protoss dudes as civs with unique art would be pretty awesome but sadly too much work.

Not really i have over 30 civs already made up for Fantasy Civs:p

I have to ask, how do you guys find the time to do all this?

I've always wanted to see a Fantasy VS Sci-fi mod and thought C2C might be the place for it.

I'd also like to see a Marvel mod (maybe I'm just thinking about this alot since seeing the Avengers and loving it but I did think of it almost a year ago and hadn't mentioned it since it'd be so much to implement.) The basic concept is that it would basically simply be C2C but would add in all the elements of the Marvel story wherever they are logical to put in place, characters, nations, buildings, a vast array of spy missions for villain plots, even some new techs! Could be wicked cool, no? And I think there are probably enough marvel games out there that we could certainly figure out how to adapt the graphics to C2C somehow.

Hey, I have what I believe to be a ready-to-go Civic Mod, with all files necessary for change. However, I, still but a noob, do not know how to upload this...:crazyeye: If someone could give me a quick rundown, thatd be great.:)

Are all your changes in a module, ie a folder in the Assets/Modules folder. If not then they are not a mod mod. If they are compress that file and upload it with documentation. Start a new thread in this forum. This will give you a place to enter text and if you scroll down below the "Submit Post" button you will see a button "Manage Attachments" click on that and upload your compressed file. There are limits on how much you can upload.

Okay, I'am having a problem. I created the module and all, but when I start the game, the Civics don't appear in! I'm thinking to just create an "Installation Instruction", like place X file here. Should I do this instead?

I would like to see an alien modmod that can be enabled in the advanced setup. My idea is to incorporate popular alien theories like alien contact in ancient times, crop circles, Area 51, alien abduction, etc. Adding an alien civ that makes contact throughout the game and finally becomes a full fledged civ in modern or future times.

Actually, I believe Hydro has some ideas for "aliens" but they are like barbarians that you'll fight in the far galactic era. But a modmod that adds events, yeah, that could be done. Not by me of course :lol:I know nothing of events...Yet...
