bought a new printer so i can read the articles from the site at work--security job lots of time to do nothing but no iternet

But it doesnt come with a usb cable

So i had to drive into the city to get one and guess what i got the wrong type

So now i got to drive again

Why doesnt cannon give the stupid cable with the stupid cheap printer ?

To make the stupid cheap printer look like a better deal than it is. Don't blame Canon, most printer makers are doing that now. You're lucky you get ink cartridges with it. For that matter, some makers are selling the printers with trial-sized ink cartridges.

this is funny we have like 15 printers at my house lol Because it's cheaper to just go buy a new printer then it is to replace ink cartriges.

Depends where you buy the ink cartridges really.

But yeah, it is crummy that they can't even put a cable in the box. And it's even crummier that they're so expensive in the shops, compared with how much they cost to make (pennies).

I agree. They wouldn't get away with selling it without a powercord. I always ask the guy if they'll throw in the cable for free. And sometimes they do.
