The so call Italian Army was principally a piamontese army. Ask the people from Sicily if they were italinas in 1848![]()
I know that Sicily had not great italian ideals on 1848, but is right that Modena, Parma, Toscana and the Pope formally (and substantially) gived an hand to Sardinia kingdom: you must remember also massonic and carborar revolution on 1820-21 and 1830-31 on this states. I have yet said that this countries, after first entusiasms, decided to retire its troops because they are fear of Piemonte predominion, but history is history!
