Hello, I just grabbed these 2 models from 3DCafe and fixed it.

The Problem is , I`ve spent 8 hours today to understand how the animation system works. I finally didn`t get the clou

maybe someone can put animations on these great models I would fall to an eternal sleep of happyness

Very nice find, I guess I don't have to do it anymore.
There's just a weird problem with the material, it shows it from inside. You can either enable 2-Sided in material editor, or convert the model to editable poly or mesh, select all faces and flip normals.

gigantic Artillery? What caliber? The biggest I know was the Dora gun with 80cm. Have you or anybody else got any information or pics/blueprints on this? I'm working on a wwii scenario that goes further than '45 and will also include new and experimental weapons for each side.

Further then '45? ME 262 in mass-production, the english modificated Havilland "Vampire" (jetplane), an enhancement of project "Bumblebee" (sort of SAM against kamikazes), U-boote with short range missiles and V2's, the XXI subs...

Probably not exactly the forrestal class, but an adv carrier for the allies for sure. Taking technology from the 50's is not that simple. There are so many "american" technologies which are based on german research and developement during wwii which americans had no clue about until they won the war. For example rocketry and special alloys. Do you know where the stealth tech mainly came from? Well I think this is going off-topic in this thread. If somebody has any information about experimental, planned und unbuilt wwii weapons and stuff, please pm me!

and you see that the train cannon Dora was by far not the one with the biggest caliber (german engineering , maybe they should get the indian fast workers )

The V3 (Vergeltungswaffe 3), also known as "London Gun" was a project to build a large stationary Artillery in Mimoyecques near Calais, which was should be able to bombard London around the clock. The gun was supposed to consist of 12 barrels, each 150 mm caliber and 130 m long. If it would have been finished, London would have been hit by a Rocket assisted Artillery shell of 140 kg all 12 seconds and therefore being to reduced to ashes within a couple of days.
The RAF destroyed the Installations shortly before D-Day.
A smaller version stationed near Trier shelled Luxemberg during the battle of the Bulge, but was not very succesful.

Thank you Duke for this excellent information! It'll kinda hard to implement these artilleries in civ4. Probably we need civ3 style bombardement or anyhow land deployable units, like an aircraft that could be stationed anywhere. This would be great for a wwii mod.

Well I haven't found any information about a bigger caliber than the Dora on these links. Generally information on Wunder-, Super- and Experimental weapons is very hard to find, especially in german language.

@duke: Bist du sehr interessiert an den Waffenentwicklungen während des 2. Weltkrieges? Ich für meinen Teil sehr, und zwar ohne dass ich das damalige Regime für gut heiße!
Ich suche schon seit Wochen nach Zeichnungen oder etwaigem für die P1000 und P1500 Landschlachtschiffe. Habe zwar jeweils ein Bild gefunden aber die reichen meiner Meinung nach nicht aus um daraus eine Civ4 Einheit zu basteln. Hast du da evtl nen Link?

Ich bin schon relativ interessiert, aber nur "semi-professionell" (also viel Halbwissen )

Hab aber einen Freund aus Rumänien, der sehr vernarrt in Waffentechnologie des 2. WK ist, vor allem in die deutsche, werd mal bei dem nachhorchen.

DON'T OPEN THE .NIF FILE! If you open and save it with a .txt editor, you will ruin it!

You have to add it with xml. There are other threads on how to do this, I believe.
