New terrain features

Well I suppose they could merge eventually. What about ..

Industrial Era Worker (Nitroglycerin) -> Bulldozer (Motorized Transportation) -> Terraformer (Weather Control) -> -Construction Spaceship (Planetary Engineering)

Industrial Era Worker (Nitroglycerin) -> Modern Era Worker (Motorized Transportation) -> Clones (Gene Enhancement) -> Android (Androids) -> Construction Spaceship (Planetary Engineering)

Modern Workboat (Screw Propeller) -> Constructor Ship (Military Robotics)-> Constructor Spaceship (Planetary Engineering)

This would merge all worker lines. The unit could go on land, water and space.

You did not say how fast they work ie their work rate eg how much faster than a modern worker are they.

The button for the bulldozer (artwork for the unit is by kathy) does not look good. It looks like a tank.

What is the Work rate for the later units? I would say the Bulldozer should be a bit faster than a Modern worker in the limited stuff they can do.

The Terraformer probably should be faster than a an Android in the limited stuff it can do.

Here is a Bulldozer icon/button for you.

Ok I looked up the speeds ...

- Gatherer = 100
- Worker = 150
- Work Dog = 240
- Work Animal = 250
- Industrial Era Worker = 300
- Modern Era Worker = 350
- Clone = 475
- Android = 500

- Work Boat = 100
- Workboat (Classic) = 150
- Workboat (Middle Ages) = 200
- Modern Workboat = 300
- Constructor Ship = 500

So I am thinking ...

Bulldozer = 400
Terraformer = 600

The increase from Clone to Android is very small, isn't it?

Also, in Command and Conquers generals: Zero Hour, there is a Construction Helicopter. This might be a good land and water worker before the construction spaceship.

@Hydro the bulldozer and terraformer are now available. Please check their statistics ie cost, work rate etc.

I still have to find/do the extra builds.

edit on another note I noticed that some of the intermediate improvements cost as much to build as the final improvement eg fruit picker costs as much as the orchard. I will fix this soon.

@DH

Well here are the costs other similar units ..

Industrial Era Worker = 650
Armored Car = 700
Motorcycle = 840
Mobster Car = 840
Jeep = 890
Police Car = 900
Humvee = 1100
Clone = 2000

So I am thinking 800 for the Bulldozer. Mainly because it can both attack and work faster than an Industrial Era Worker.

I did not see the terraformer. Is it on the SVN?

EDIT: I really like how you can now see how fast they work in the pedia. :goodjob:

No I forgot to add terraformer to the SVN which is a good thing as it is causing art problems again :(.

How fast they work is in the pedia. It is Work rate and should be just below cost.

I highly recommend Exedrine Migrane. It will get rid of the squiggly lines and impaired vision - usually a sign of a sinus migrane. Caffeine, acetaminophen, and aspirn all together and helpful; 1 or 2 usually kicks mine.
Hope you are able to fend it off.

I am not working on the terraformer because it causes errors (CTD) when I add it.

Sorry but RL is bad at the moment - not me directly but via my friends. When I get chance to sit down at the compute I just want to play not mod.

I was checking out R.I. and man the terrain there completely sucks. I could only go for around 50 turns i had to shut it OFF, YUCK, actually made me sick/quizzy .:vomit: . Besides it was so easy it was ridiculous, not saying its not got some good points(i dont want to bad mouth the work they did), i could not tell with only 50 turns, but i could not take it any longer . .

So thx for doing a great job on C2C's terrain . . .SO :goodjob:;)

3. DH, you asked me about karst terain. Please look at screenshot. Its ok?

So the the graphic for karst needs some improvement if we are even going to considered improving it.

Also how will its stats differ from the other terrain types?

|:food:|:hammers:|:commerce:|:move:|:commerce: from Rivers|Improvement Time|Damage|Defense| Cities?

For a Karth I am thinking maybe a cross between Rocky and Muddy so like ...

|:food:|:hammers:|:commerce:|:move:|:commerce: from Rivers|Improvement Time|Damage|Defense| Cities?
Karth|1|1|0|2|+1|+25%|No|+25%|Yes

Also it can build mines on it like Rocky terrain.
