New to Mods

Sorry if this question already has a thread, could not find one

2 obvious questions from someone new to modding

1. Which ones are worth gettting (like playing on earth maps with somewhat realistic tech an so forth and have conquests.) Could not find a review or highly recommended thread.

2. Where is a thread on instructions on setting up the mods...

Someone should write a tutorial for mods and scen. That way whenever someone asks we can point them to it.

You should try 'Double your pleasure' or something
I'm fairly certain it has a small description in the thread in the completed modpacks forum on how to install it

If you want to know which one to download, just go down the topic list, reading descriptions. If you find anyone you like, try it out for a day or two as a scenario (not a full mod). You can keep many mods on one comp by putting them as a scenario file by renaming the Conquests.bicthat came with the mod to [Modname].bic, where [Modname] is the name of the mod.
Then open up the modname.bic with Civ3Edit and change the path in Scenario Properties (see the built-in help file if you don't know how). Then create the path and upload all of the folders of the mod into the folder.
