At the moment, his feet both slide to the side as he prods his trident. Perhaps he should have a firmer stance, his left leg moving (not sliding though) forward as he lunges his trident. It's possible that the attack for the spearman in utahjazz7's guide is a suitable one for this creation; why not double-check that guide and work through the attack from it.
