I know that but note that I'm playing Carthage and received a Spain UU, a Conquistador :)

How can you now know how military city-states work? :D
Go into their diploscreen and mouse-over the word 'military'

I really like the new Progress much better than the old Liberty. The early-game bonuses seem more significant now. Nice change, Gazebo!

Warrior → Spearman - 70 gold
Spearman → Pikeman - 430 gold
Pikeman → Musketman - 600 gold
Musketman → Fusilier - 1830 gold
Fusilier → Rifleman - 1350 gold
Rifleman → Infantry - 1240 gold
Infantry → Mechanized Infantry - 3420 gold
Spot the non-existent logic.

It's an issue of techs between units and unit cost. This is an equation, not a set price.

Coul'nt we have the village constructible before currency (maybe construction or masonry) at least when we chose Authority?

I'm currently testing Authority and is hard concerning gold.

I assume the jump from 70 to 430 is completely okay for you?

Sure, I'm really happy the spears are 70 now instead of 180 or whatever they were before, the distance between warrior and spearman is like 2 techs.

You can also you a mod named Tacturns whicch reduce buildings/units costs and make research longer, permetting a more strategic game (I habitually use it but not for now while I'm testing to debug).

I dropped save game from yesterday in favor of new session because I had fallen way behind AI in everything, however today I had seen this happening for a first time:

At least I never saw barbarians capture CS before Horde invasion and this wasn't that. Also has anyone encounter CS with such low defense score ? From as far as I can tell they usually have 15 + from beginning (To be honest I never paid attention to that detail).

They lose their palace and that combat strength when they are conquered.
I've never seen it happen outside of a barb invasion, and the barb invasion gives that exact message you're showing.
I did however notice in my current game if the city-state was allied with someone you were at war with, the barb invasion icon doesn't show on the city-state (as it is a quest) even if you've made peace with them again. This can lead to unexpected city-captures.

By the way G. I noticed that the Moroccan UA doesnt' scale with era anymore, was this intentional or just some random event gone wrong?

Easy fix would just be increasing the price of the units after the fusilier then?
Just judging from the numbers I would say decrease the price of fusiliers such that the resulting upgrade cost is around 1000 and keep the hammer difference for everything after them if that keeps their price. Also increase Infantery cost.

I saw the Barbarians get a pantheon today -- is that normal? (I assume that means they took over a city-state that I can't see.)

No, that's not normal at all. This is first time I read about it and I most certainly never seen it.

Same could be said for this :

Gazebo, ever since February, the AI gives me way more gold than he is supposed to for luxuries... I'm starting to think its intended.

I don't know what actually impresses me more, that the AI actually gives you fair deals for anything or that you somehow know how much the AI are supposed to pay :D

Warscore implementation complete - now, when at war, leader screen has warscore value and a general rundown of what the war has been like (and what the AI wants from you, peace-deal wise). See below. Eat your heart out, Civ:BE:RT.

Just wanted to say what a great and useful feature this is!
It works like a charm and I love it!
Outstanding work!

I am quite satisfied with AI peace deals, once it realize that it's beaten to the ground. In fact it offers better peace deals than most human would. From experience I gather so far it's better to accept good deal than pursue with war and deal with what comes after it, unless you have very good reason to reject deal.
