New Wonder: International Court of Justice

My good friend Rufe T. Firefly requested for some justice. And I thought that he, if anyone, deserves it. So, I made the International Court of Justice building, which is located in The Hague, the Netherlands. I thought it'd be half a day's job but took only couple of hours.

Rufe may have more ideas how to use it, I'm thinking it might perhaps reduce corruption in a big way.

And Rufe made the best splash I've seen so far.

EDIT: Updated my splash (still recommend Rufus' version). Version 2 has no strange black curly lines coming from the tower.

If only you could impeach a leader of another Civ for their war crimes.

Maybe they could add to Civ4, stop another Civ from winning, sort of like winning with the UN for being a goody-two-shoes.

well, this unit could reduce corruption, improve the effect of courthouse or allow a second kind of courthouse but stronger.

anyway, sure there is many occasion to include this wonder in a scenario!

@Ukas: as usually, you are my god.

For use it, I have request it as replacement of Supreme court on DyP/Rar mod, because it is a Great Wonder, instead a SC could be only a SW, IMHO.

I'm thinking for some splash...

Yes, but there is one civ that reserves the right to invade The Hague if any one of it's citizens is ever put on trial there.... (we all know who that is...)

Well, as Wikipedia says: "This court is different from the International Criminal Court and the War Crimes Law (Belgium) both of which has been confused with the International Court of Justice."

"Established in 1945, its main functions are to settle disputes submitted to it by states and to give advisory opinions on legal questions submitted to it by the General Assembly or Security Council, or by such specialized agencies as may be authorized to do so by the General Assembly in accordance with the United Nations Charter."

Hey have cases like:

Proceedings instituted by Romania against Ukraine (Romania v. Ukraine) (2004-)

Avena and other Mexican Nationals (Mexico v. United States of America) (2003-2004)

and Example of their advisory case "Legal Consequences of the Construction of a Wall in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (2003-2004)"

Actually Cybernaut has reason. USA are one of the few countries that haven't joined the International court.

IMO this should have a negative effect somehow. It increases other nations positive relations with you, but militarily hurts you somehow.

Only negative effects which you can give to a building are unhappiness, negative culture, pollution, or high maintenance cost, or it can produce really expensive crappy units

These don't fit very well to the building.
