Hey guys (and girlz),

Can anybody tell me whether water (coast, sea, lake) tiles within my cultural control count towards the scoring of my nation's histograph?

Thanx in advance,

A

I believe so - if your boundary covers it then it's yours.

You cannot cover ocean tiles, IIRC.

thanx alamo, I used to not think so, until my current game.

America seems to have more land than I do, but F11 says I have more. I was perplexed until I realized that I have WAY more coast and sea under my control; even a nice big patch in between 2 adjacent continents.

ciao 4 now.....

You can cover ocean tiles - those that are within a city radius.
IIRC, covered coast/sea/ocean tiles don't count for domination victory.

Coast tiles do count for domination conditions, but sea/ocean don't.

For this reason I would imagine sea and ocean don't count towards territory, since domination victory is based on your territory too.

Where is the zoom feature in the Civ 3 editor (not PTW)? I can't find it anywhere. Sorry if this has been asked, I tried the search function but shut down.

bap40,

You can zoom in and out using the magnifying glass in the toolbar:

FWIW, here is the PTW one, it is just the same:

That's what I was looking for, but it isn't there. I have the save button, then it skips the redo and undo, the zoom in and out. The cut and paste buttons are the next buttons I see. I tried pressing x, z, + and -, but these didn't work either.

According to the Readme, Zoom funcitons for the vanilla editor were added with patch 1.29f

It seems like if a large city with say 16 shields production builds a unit that only requires 4 shields there is lot of waste. Is this correct? or do the extra shields get sent somewhere?

also, I am at 100 BC and I seem to be the leading civ. Another distant civ wants to trade maps. Is this generally a good idea or not?
Thanks

They are wasted.

Sell the map, unless it's a monopoly and you don't think that civ will know about your map (either from you or other civs) in the near future. BTW, you always know how much your map is worth from how much AI offers for it. :)

How do I move units from airport to ariport? Is there a button at the bottom of the screen I need to click, or what do I do to make a unit in city A turn up in City B when they both have airports?
if it is an air unti, choos the "Re-base" mission, then select the city or carrier. If it is a land unit, select "Air-drop."
