I installed it on my computer and it worked fine.
I eventually installed ATI's "All In Wonder" suite.
After I did that it stopped working.
I uninstalled both, reinstalled the drivers, or at least I think I did, then installed civ4 again.
It still didn't work.
I think the error is something like this:
Failure to initialize graphics engine.
Check drivers or graphics settings.
When I start it is first changes to 1024x768 or whatever from 800x600 if I didn't already.
It then goes through various checks like XML and Python.
At the grpahics part the error occurs.
It then changes back if it needs to.
This is on XP and ATI's x600.
After I did reinstall the drivers the "change resolution" list on the taskbar was missing as well.
I don't know if getting that back will also make it work again.
But on the plus side is that I won't stay up for hours playing it.
