Looks like I won't medal ever unless I get lucky . The only person who finished and submitted faster than me had a conquest loss . Speed play =/= best finish times.

Compare your time with Mastiff_of_Ar's 449 hours. That means he left Civ4 running on his computer for nearly 19 of the 31 days of the competition. My wife would never let me pull off that feat.

Wow, my first ever XOTM award - a pity it was for lowest cultural victory score - in fact, looking at the board it was the lowest winning score of everyone!

Thanks CP. This map was tailor-made for Sushi-milking. I ended up with 47 sushi resources at the end (=24 food). Any map with a lot of islands and narrow landmasses will be good for Sushi. Other maps are better for Cereal Mills, though the best Sushi maps are better than the best Cereal maps.

I'll never medal either. I managed to play seriously for about an hour... but then somewhere through the third I was finished I was a bit disappointed to see you finished faster and better than me, clearly I'll have to scrap that one serious hour!

Edit: Hey, there should be a "quickest play" or "most efficient" (points / time) award! I would compete for either of those!

It was my first XOTM try (with an award to boot), but it confirmed my suspicion that I need to learn alot more.

I'm not even going to try this month's... Never played above Noble before last month's XOTM and I can sure bet I wont last long on Emperor. (Unless of course there is a "Pitifulest Game Award.")

Never hurts to try. You do not have to submit the game and can compare what you did to others when the spoilers open. There is much for us all to learn.

Tomorrow, WOTM22 opens and it is Monarch, if you'd like a lower difficulty game.

Other than the always war one (lost after invading too hastily), I've had the fastest "time played" from BOTM 11 (my first XOTM) until now out of all wins .
