It looks like the capital will be an efficient settler factory with that floodplain wheat tile. Gems in the vicinity too. Hm. *ponderponder* I usually get my heinie kicked in COTM though. I'll download the Open game save and ponder the decision.

What about settling one tile SW to get diamonds and a hill on your first culture pop?
It's not a bad idea, but it doesn't seem necessary to me. You won't be assigning a citizen to work any hills while you are in despotism, and you will probably have another city or two before you can spare the worker turns to road a mountain.

For overall score, is a quick domination better? Or could you get a better score for a later, industrial/modern domination, with more (happier) citizens.
Or can you even get a higher score for milking it near the domination limit and launching a spaceship? How does this work?

Someone else (DaveMcW?) once stated very clearly how to maximize Jason score, but I can't find the post now. It was something along the lines of:
1. Expand to the domination limit as quickly as possible.
2. Trigger your chosen victory condition as soon as possible to the extent permitted by #1.
3. Increase your population and keep your citizens as happy as possible to the extent permitted by #1 and #2.

Yeah, i think going for as much land as posssible as early as you can is a key for victory.I will try to do this in this COTM trying for a cultural victory(my English is really bad,sorry).
