Middle Eastern News:

Troy Fails to Capitalize on Mathematical Momentum: As a sidenote to the Trojan action most recently, the Trojans continued to advance in mathematics. Or, rather, they tried to. For the first time recently, the Trojans failed to make noticeable progress. What this means for the intellectual men of Troy in unknown.

Gallipoli Blockaded! The Trojans, as of late, had been undergoing massive naval expansion. This finally paid off as their massive fleet, equipped with many flame-throwing devices, managed to block Greek support to the colony of Gallipoli. The city there was defended by quite a few Greek League troops, but not nearly enough. Troy suffered only minor casualties in blocking the city. Troy: -2 Triremes, -2 Cogs. Athens: -3 Triremes, -1 Cog, -1 Ram Ship

Gallipoli Seized! Cut off from their support, the isolated Greek troops inside Gallipoli were under siege. However, when the large Trojan army advanced upon the colony, combat took place. By implementing a new Phalanx-style formation, the Trojans managed to protect their troops in the middle of battle. The heavily favored Trojans thus were able to come away with only a few casualties, comparatively. Troy: -5 Spearmen, -2 Swordsmen, -2 Archers, -1 Catapult.

Phoenicia Advances Colonial Thinking: The Phoenician government was restructured over the course of the last few years. By instituting numerous changes to make their colonies more efficient, such as vice-royalties and naval convoy systems, the wealth coming in from many colonies has increased dramatically. +4 EP, all future colonies will have +2 EP.

Phoenicia Expands Colonial Holdings: In accordance with their latest doctrines, the Phoenician government managed to send many men to the island of Sardinia. After setting up numerous outposts and colonies all throughout the island, the incoming wealth has been considerable. +4 EP, +1 Fish, +1 Silver

Urartu Modernizes Military: Despite bordering two highly advanced military nations, the Armenians of Urartu have always been forced to fight with the simple and tribal weapons of their fore-fathers. Not anymore. By bringing in specialists from their neighbors, as well as increasing funding overall, the military has been modernized through and through. All units changed to equivalent types. Civilized units enabled.

Urartu Stymied Again: The nation of Urartu has been attempting to make breakthroughs in Animal Husbandry techniques. Despite their best efforts, they have still failed to make noticeable change. The knowledge has been collected, but re-distribution has so far failed to take root.

Mediterranean News

North Greece Invaded! The highly rural parts of North Greece were invaded recently by the newly-christened "Empire of Hellas". They have marched right up to the borders of at least three different city-states, though they have remained at peace thus far. While clearly a strategic move, the economic benefits coming in have been considerable. +3 EP, +1 Stone.

Empire of Hellas Completes Farm Renovations: Amidst their constant warfare, many Macedonians remain farmers, like their fathers, and their fathers before them. By encouraging these farmers and clearing new lands for more farms, the agrarian aspect of the nation has been strengthened greatly. +2 EP, +1 Wheat

Sicilian Scientists get to Work: As many now know, the "Greater Sicily" culture invited many great thinkers into their nation, many of whom stayed permanently. These thinkers have now devised a way to increase colonial efficiency for their nation. While not as advanced as the Phoenician method, the overall result is still positive. +1 EP from all colonies.

Albania and Epirus Colonized: Pushing forth with a new colonial model, the Sicilians managed to set up numerous trading posts and forts throughout the rough region. While not particularly valuable, the area has still shown promise economically. +2 EP, +1 Wool.

Alba Longa Modernizes Military: Alba Longa has made great efforts to modernize itself recently, and the military was the last step. Now, they have managed to complete this as well, mostly through their Trojan contacts. Military technology was shared, though the recent advances remain a mystery. Units changed to equivalent types, civilized units enabled.

Alba Longa Consolidates hold on Estrucia: Alba Longa has only recently managed to conquer their old enemies. By sending loyal citizens to establish new holdings all throughout the northern half of the nation, the country as a whole has managed to come together, at least economically. +1 EP

Central Europe News

Thuringian-Veneti Road Commissioned: After having some discussion and diplomacy, the two nations of Thuringia and Veneti have decided that a long road between their two nations would be beneficial to all. Early signs are positive, as the combined efforts of the two nations have almost 3/4 of the work done already.

Thuringia Continues Agrarian Course: While not a surprising move, the Thuringians have continued their agricultural policies even more so recently. By encouraging their people to pursue a farm life over other simple jobs, such as foraging and hunting, the nation has enjoyed yet further economic growth. +1 EP

Steppes News

Chersonesus Founded: While the Trojans focused their efforts south, many of the Athenians living on the colonies fled north. Their ships managed to escape Trojan detection, and the general Tychus I managed to lead his people to the land of Crimea. By instituting a military dictatorship, he seized power. Now, it looks to become a standard kingdom. Regardless, the people of Chersonesus have cut all ties with Athens and Greece in general, and seek to develop undisturbed from the troubles of the past.

Scythia Faces Further Republicanism Problems: Scythia ordered that the remaining chieftains step down and hold elections. This would potentially amount to 3/4 of the nation's local government. While the majority of elections went off without problems, there were a couple of rebellions in isolated parts of the nation. The response to this, and not the event itself, may be more important.

Scythia Modernizes Military: Despite their seclusion, the nation of Scythia underwent quite a bit of militaristic changes recently. By inviting smiths and generals from Medea primarily, new and advanced weaponry was brought to the nation. They quickly managed to equip their people with said weaponry, and the nation is employing far better soldiers then their neighbors. Units modernized, civilized units unlocked.

Africa News

Tetwan Integrates Celtici: After numerous excursions into Celtici lands, they have finally been absorbed by the Kingdom of Tetwan. Small amounts of casualties were sustained, tough the benefits most likely outweighed the problems. -2 Raider infantry, -2 slingers. +2 EP, +1 Wool.

Feudalism Integrated in Tetwan: As part of the modernization program, the king of Tetwan divided hhsi nation into 11 districts. These districts were headed by local officials which then paid tribute to the crown. While this has slightly helped the nation's organization, the people have begun to sectionalize instead of nationalize. -1 Political Unity. +1 EP

Tetwan Completes Social Reformation: The people of Tetwan have long been envious of the advanced social and economic policies instituted by the advanced nations of the Mediterranean. By inviting persons of note into the nation, as well as investing heavily into infrastructure and basic programs, the nation has found itself in the midst of other great powers. +3 EP, (Classified).

Only if any Greek Land you take over in the Mainland will be surrendered to Hellas. Although we are allies with Troy, as Greeks we can not allow Troy to keep any Greek Mainland teritories.
