Nintendo takes charge in gaming wars?

So Wii owners have real friends, 360 has internet friends, and the PS3 has no friends? ;)

If PS3 is code for "Fanboys who have nothing better to do than tear down other people's systems", then sure. However, most of those people don't seem to own a PS3. ;)

I'd say that's pretty much true.

Btw, you all need to take a look at how cool the Wii can really be.

It's far beyond anything else out there.
Where have you been? TrackIR has been out for the PC for years now. In fact I wonder if the Big N got (stole) their idea from Naturalpoint. (instead of tracking your head it tracks your hand) Think about it. Doesn't the Wii-mote act somewhat like a mouse? That's because at first the IR tracker device was design for handicap people who could use head movement to replace the mouse. It didn't take long before Naturalpoint design a IR tracker for gaming which works well for flight sims. Having the TrackIR tracking your head movement takes a little to get use to since you have to learn to keep your head (body) still while playing the game. While I find it useful for flight sims it would be too annoying to use for FPS as for there would be too much movement.
Notice the guy in the video didn't add in movement of the character as moving your character plus your head plus your hand would be too much for even the hardcore of gamers.

The biggest let down for me about the Wii is it's weak outdated hardware which sadly can't even support HD. (something PC games have been running in for years now) As any PC gamer knows HD helps games a lot especially with making jagged edges less noticeable. (even average looking games looks better running in HD/PC resolution) Xbox 360 hardware looks good on paper but fall apart literally. It's 360 hardware problems which made up my mind to go with PS3.

Antialiasing (not HD) helps with jagged edges.

Jagged edges will look just as bad with HD if you have AA turned off.
Exactly what do you think Anti-aliasing does and why it works your GPU harder? Anti-aliasing X2, X4 ,X8 the displayed resolution.

I think the idea that slightly better graphics makes a system that much better is severely flawed.

Its not slightly better but alot better. Kinda like comparing a Xbox to PS1. Try playing the Xbox 360 games Viva Pinata, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, or Forza Motoersports 2 on a Plasma TV, compare it to the Wii and get back to me.

If you're just talking graphics, then of course the PS3 and the Xbox360 win.

The wii wasn't designed to deliver graphics like that.

And it's just as well. Graphics are like optional decorations on a car : nice to have, but it won't get you moving any faster.

Anti-aliasing doesn't have anything to do with the resolution. But I agree with you that a higher resolution makes jagged lines less noticeable, but to eliminate them you need anti-aliasing.

Anti-aliasing from my understanding in the GPU running the image in higher resolution than the displayed resolution. Thus AAx2 is twice the displayed resolution then scaled back down the displayed resolution which average out the line to make it less sharp. HD is just a term to use for TVs what PC monitors have been running in years.

Well, this is how I understand it to work. Might be done by the same process you described, I don't know. And actually it doesn't really matter, because I think your point was that PS 3 and Xbox 360 feature better graphics than the Wii, which I think is totally true. :D
