No Culture Win?

Hi,

Playing on Warlords/Prince/Epic. I've got 3 cities breezed through 50,000 culture, now past 61,000 culture and still no victory? Is Legendary cultuure different on Prince?

The amount needed varies with speed. I believe on epic it is actually 75000 needed, I could be wrong though.

The amount for legendary depends on game speed. On Quick it's 25,000. On Normal it's 50,000, on Epic it's 75,000 (which is why you haven't hit the win yet) and on Marathon it's 150,000.

Oh dear. That's a shame. I think I've got about 20 odd turns left to get them to 75,000, and everyone else is building Spaceship parts like crazy. Izzy is also doing lots of business at the UN, although I think I have enough votes to ward against a win.

Gosh. Winning by culture on Standard is much easier. I know you have fewer turns, but it's technology, wonders, improvement, population that get you ramped up on culture, and those come way earlier.

I think they overdid the stretching of the goal. Something like 62,500 or something would have been more appropriate, I think.

yuck the UN! it's not the diplo vote in culture games that i fear, it's the emancipation vote. i'd build it myself except that i don't tech that far. gandhi once foiled my plans by taking away my lovely beautiful caste system, i lost by 3 turns i think it was .

next game, i played as gandhi. that solved that problem! i might actually be able to vote "Never!" in cases like that in BtS now, looking forward to it
