I have finally found a fix for my black screen blues! I had attempted anything I could find as a possible fix, but my laptop which uses a Radeon IGP 345M just couldn't make it happen. This obscure card was not supported by the latest Catalyst update from ATI. However those drivers have been hacked and modified for use by all.
To get the drivers go to http://www.omegadrivers.net and follow the navigation buttons to your download. 5 months and now I can finally play!
