No Santa hats in October - thread

I already spotted two avatars with Santa hats. While I strangely am looking forward to this year's Christmas (usually it just happens for me) - it is October dame it!

Harrods in London started the holiday on August the 2th this year:

Despite it only being early August Harrods have opened their 'Christmas World' section and enlisted Santa to come along. Father Christmas unveiled a sand sculpture depicting a traditional christmas scene designed by british sand artist Andrew Baynes. The 5ft sculpture has taken over 8 tonnes of sand and 30 hours to sculpt.

Personally, I shudder to see Santa hats this early in the year. Canadian Thanksgiving is just around the corner (ours is in October) and then there's Halloween. After that is Remembrance Day. Only after that do I allow Christmas to enter into my life.

But the other night on the bus, I saw that somebody already had their Christmas lights up! (note to self: remind Thunderfall to install the :madsanta: smiley... )

Any other smileys people want "Santa-hatted" that we don't already do? Either post in the Smiley Request thread in Site Feedback or drop me a PM. I'll give the smiley a Santa hat and ask Thunderfall if he would be willing to install it.

I hate seeing christmas stuff out before thanksgiving. Why not just leave xmas decorations up all year? (I did leave my lights up for months one time though ).

I love Christmas. It's the one time a year I can be a kid again.

BTW, I've been using the CFC Christmas theme nonstop ever since last Christmas. Just a few more months, and I can celebrate.

I think I left a Santa hat on top a nuke for an avatar for a full year a few years ago.
