::Nomad Colonies::

Ok, glad you figured it out. I'm so putting off my mod right now. I hate working on the tech tree:(

Making the techs is quite easy... it's the unit32 pcx file and the civilopedia file which is gonna piss me off so much. Along with the labels and diplomacy files.

the units 32 isn't so hard. I would help you with it but im busy with a lot of other stuff

Yes, I realize. But it's just that the palette thing keeps on changing (what people say).

You don't really have to do anything, with any pallette. Just use gimp and when you try to save hit export and your good.

For real? So all this mumbo jumbo with palettes is fake? I do not have to do anything?

Hey look, first comment:eek:

My only complaint is that it looks like has way to many holes in the continents, (or lakes, whatever), If you could go over that a bit more it would be great.

On the East side or West side? The East one, I agree, has a bit too much wear and tear, but I put it that way because there is only one civ on that side. Also, you may have noticed those 2 small islands, the un-playable civs are located on them.

To my eyes, west side is pretty good, I didn't want to make it all marshy, so I just put water there. As for the east side, yes, I will have to... structure it a bit more.

Thanks for bringing it up Ball. Once I get a Beta finished, i'll post it over on CC, maybe on here as well if I get begged enough :P

The official forum is here, DHighland is moderator, please come and help/give advice for this fantastic mod!

- Widen the coast/shallow seas in some parts... not gaming just will make the mape look more "natural" rather than always dropping off in the 3 stages.

Abaddon, read the entire story, and read the feature of the water, there is only one unit which can be used to travel across water.

I like the map, but I suggest that the smaller inland lakes be combined, and more playable area be exposed...otherwise, you will have all your cities built VERY early in the game...unless they are preplaced in which case ignore me...

it looks pretty good, but with only 1 sea crossing unit, wont it be a long slow game?...

[edit] also, as far as the Units32.pcx, you can just use GIMP and c-n-p them into the sheet...as long as you leave the original units32.PCX indexed, you can paste the individual unit pics into it, and save as is...it will index each new addition as you paste it in automatically, so no need to fiddle with the pallet...if you need help, I can do it for you...

[edit2] also, I am still toying with ideas for your nomad buildings...
