Non-paperclip staple alternative for slightly thicker than staplable size documents!?

Is there any sort of product that is like staples, but for stuff that is slightly too thick for a normal staple? I'm looking for something that will hold well so paperclip is out, and I'd rather not get a binder just for this one dang thing. It doesn't need to look professional, its just for my...personal...use.

Is a binder clip the same as a bulldog clip?

You can also use them as apparatus for BDSM activities if all your clothes pegs are in use on the washing line.

Edit: You could also staple the last few pages of one packet to the first few pages of the second to make one big packet.

I guessed as much after posting. Bulldog clips are stronger than those. I think the strength scale would be

Binder > Treasury Tag* > Bulldog Clip > Binder Clip > Paperclip

for clip related activity

* Treasury tags are pretty lame if you pull both ends of them though, but yanking pages is not good for clips. These are deliberate acts of sabotage though.

Other alternatives: staples (bit lame if very thick wad and do you want pages looking like they have been attacked by midget vampires?), those clear plastic bags for documents.

Alternatively, you could just make notes in a reporters notebook or something similar.
