The article linking to that page was in a Norwegian paper, so I guess presenting it wouldn't be much of use. I doubt I can find any English-language explanation. The entry fields say 'name', 'living place', 'degree' and 'title'.
The point of the thread isn't the search engine itself, but the question whether it's OK publishing the member list of the freemasons.
Heh... good point, really. They state no source in their article. Can't find the Norwegian minister of fishing, even though I believe he's a member.Originally posted by Hitro
Where did they get the list from? What tells you that it is correct?
Why not? I dont know much about freemasons, but what harm could it do?Originally posted by Thadlerian
What are your opinions on this action? Is it an OK thing to do, publishing this list?
That sounds occult.. From what I have heard the freemasons of today are just a mens club.Engaging in secret rituals

It's still quite hard to get information about the masons except by word of mouth .... as someone who's curious about them and their history I'd like to see more information about them out there -- but it's certainly any private club's own business whether they wish to share their membership list, or anything else about their group, with the public.

Masonic organiztion rarely keep mebership lists secret in free country. They are obtainable in the USA. But nobody seems to be be very interested in them.
