Hello,

as the title says.

My setter got captured by a barbarian. The barbarian became in range with my city, I bombarded the barbarian and killed him. Now my settler is "Free" but he still remains in the control of the barbarian, so I had to bring a unit to move over the setter in order to liberate him.

This seems a bit unrealisting and it only causes annoyance.

Thanks

Yea it's not really a bug, but it's a bad design. That forces me to bring some unit to that location, even that my Settler is actually free.

Not a bug - its by design. You retake your worker or settler by moving a melee unit into the same tile.

You can retake your worker or settler by moving a ranged unit into the same tile as well, I'm almost certain.

I usually just kill them for XP because I'm too lazy to bring them back to my territory to disband them.

Yea... Melee or Range ... same :):):):). I still need to bring a unit, and if I don't have a unit in that place ... bad bad things will happen to my free settler. It's like they forghot who they are.
