Question:
If my Max Strength says (3) and I have an orb that gives +1 strength, does it mean:
A) I have 2 default + 1 from the orb = 3 total max strength
OR
B) I have 3 default + 1 from the orb = 4 total max strength

Your character PM will always have your total strength including all bonuses from affinity.
So using the example pm provided. Sita's max strength is (3), This includes the +1 strength bonus she gets from her affinity to Raw Mana.
If she was holding two Raw Mana orbs the bonus she would get from affinity would be +2 and making her max strength (4)
Something that I need to clarify in the rules is with the default strength. Default is probably not the right word. Rather the minimum strength for characters is 2 (2). There will be a few characters who are naturally stronger for a variety of reasons.

I think using "max" is a little confusing. If I understand what you're saying, it's basically the difference between what most games call "Strength" and "Effective Strength," right?

Just an update from my side of things, i have been away for work and thought I would be able to get a good amount of writing done while in my hotel room at night.
The reality turned out to be:

5/5 nights working.
